Silas~ I woke up alone on the bed, and my heart sank once. Had she left already when I was asleep? Did something come up at the workshop? We didn't agree that she would leave today. With my sweaty palms, I hauled my body off the bed and searched for my cell phone. I wouldn't be happy if she had left already, so I quickly dialed her contact. At first, it only made beeps, and the call ended, causing my heart to hammer harder in my chest.
