With the tray of meals, I returned to Silas so we could eat them together to avoid getting cold. He wasn't expecting the meal and was even planning on preparing ours before I returned from the workshop.
“But seriously, you shouldn't be cooking when those ladies are here,” I said to him, and his fork hung on his lips. “I'm dead serious. Not like there are other things that they do, so they should make meals while you focus on your work.”
He nodded gently, “I don't make meals unless it's urgent. But I don't mind providing it for you.”
“You're so sweet.” I blew him a kiss. “I really enjoy your meal.”
We chatted until the meal was finished, so I took the tray with me back to the kitchen before getting into the bedroom. I freshened up as fast as I could and returned to the office to
