While the water ran down my body, I kept humming a tune I heard at the party last night. Even though I wasn't getting it correctly, I still felt entertained that I could at least get a part of it.
I turned the shower off once done and grabbed my towel, drying up my skin when it clicked to me that I hadn't reached out to grandpa's caregiver, and I needed to hear about how he was doing until now. So the moment I left the shower, I wore something light and video-called the caregiver before it slipped my mind.
“Hi…” I waved my hand at him once he picked up quickly. “It's been days now. How is he doing?”
“There's an improvement. You look good, too.”
We spoke about my grandpa and the necessary things that were needed, including his medicines, so I promised to send forth some cash. O
