The house was oddly quiet the moment I stepped inside. And I didn’t see any trace of Katniss.
The chopper landed far from the chalet house but I doubt it if Katniss didn’t hear it coming. I put down all the paper bags near the couch and went upstairs to check her room.
‘She isn’t here? Where is she?’
I frowned and climbed down. I was about to call the servants to ask where they last saw Katniss, but I noticed faint movements coming from the side, to the back garden.
