“Finally! You’re here! What took you so long?” Kendra snapped right after I stepped on the porch.
I frowned innocently.
‘Took me long?’
I checked on my wrist watch. “I didn't. I told you I will be here in twenty. And it was just fifteen minutes since we talked over the phone—”
“Shush! Nonsense! Follow me in the back garden!”
She quickly turned away without waiting for my answer. I held back my temper.
‘I need to be more patient with her…’
I constantly reminded myself. I followed her to the back garden. She was sitting on one of the wicker sofas on the patio. I followed and sat across from her.
“Why did you ask me here? Is there any problem?”
“Yes,” she straightforwardly answered. “Are you sleeping with my husband?”
I was caught up with the shameless question she threw me
