Soft rain pattered against the sand, dripping from the arched opening of the cave. The sound of the ocean was peaceful, the storm having passed on. Watery light fought its way through the thick clouds, dotting the dark brown sand and stone with color. I sighed contentedly and snuggled deeper into Marsh's arms. His nose was pressed against my shoulder, his breath washing over me with each draw. Closing my eyes, I smiled to myself. When Tommy had left me, I was certain my life was over. Now, I wanted nothing more than to call him and thank him for setting me free. My smile grew wider as I trailed my fingers along Marsh's tan arm.
