After the tension and excitement of the council meeting, all I wanted was to return to Tabitha’s and sink myself into a hot bath. Though the thought of baths had once stopped me cold, ever since our insane swim across oceans, I had found myself craving water, longing for the touch of the sea. Marsh was more than willing to comply with my request, and we quickly caught a cab. Tabitha was still out by the time we got back.
