Morning sunlight flooded the guest room, rays blasting through the sheer curtains as if they weren't there. Heat seared my eyelids, rousing me from my sleep. With a groan, I pressed my face deeper into the pillow, ignoring nature’s voice calling me to wake. My head popped up from the pillow when I heard three sharp raps at my door. A strangled gag escaped my lips as my hair caught in my mouth, impeding breath. I growled. “Who'zit?” “Juliet? Are you awake?
