Episode 11 Part 2 After The Intimacy

564 Words
AFTER The silence afterward was different. Not empty. Heavy. Real. You sat there— Heart still racing. Thoughts spinning. Something inside you had shifted. Something you couldn’t take back. And suddenly— It hit you. Hard. “What did we just do?” you whispered. Peter didn’t answer immediately. He was watching you. Carefully. Like he knew this moment mattered. “Something real,” he said quietly. Your chest tightened. Because part of you wanted to believe that. Needed to believe it. But another part— The louder part— Was already questioning everything. THE BET — EXPOSED “Wow.” The voice cut through the room like a blade. You froze. Peter stiffened. Luca. Standing near the entrance. Watching. Smirking. “Well,” he said slowly, “this went further than I expected.” Your stomach dropped. “What?” your voice barely came out. Peter’s expression darkened instantly. “Luca, don’t—” “What?” Luca shrugged. “She deserves to know, right?” Your eyes snapped to Peter. “Know what?” Silence. Too long. Too loud. Your heart started pounding again— But this time? Not from him. From what this might mean. Luca tilted his head slightly. “The bet,” he said casually. Everything stopped. “What bet?” your voice was sharper now. Peter stepped forward quickly. “It’s not—” “It started as one,” Luca interrupted. And just like that— Everything clicked. The attention. The persistence. The chase. Your expression changed. Not confusion. Not even anger. Something colder. Betrayal. “You…” your voice dropped. “This was a game?” Peter shook his head immediately. “No—it’s not like that anymore.” “Anymore?” you repeated. That word shattered whatever was left. Because it meant— At some point— It was. Silence filled the room. Heavy. Crushing. “And this?” you gestured between you both. “Was this part of it too?” “No,” he said quickly. “That wasn’t—” “But it started that way,” you cut in. Your voice broke slightly— But you didn’t stop. “You didn’t tell me.” “I was going to—” “When?” you snapped. “After you won?” That hit. Because he didn’t have an answer. And that? That was everything. THE BREAK You stepped back. Further. Like you needed distance. Air. Anything to breathe. “I told you,” you said quietly, “I don’t do games.” Peter’s chest tightened. “It’s not a game now.” “But it was.” And that was the line. The one he couldn’t cross back over. Your eyes filled— But you didn’t let anything fall. “I trusted you,” you whispered. That hurt more than anything else. Because it was true. And now? It was broken. ENDING You turned. Walked away. Not slowly. Not hesitating. Done. Peter didn’t follow this time. Because he knew— This wasn’t something he could fix with words. Or actions. Or anything. Because the damage? Was deeper than that. Behind him, Luca exhaled. “…Yeah,” he muttered. “That got out of hand.” Peter didn’t respond. Because for the first time— He wasn’t thinking about winning. He was thinking about the exact moment— He lost her.
