‘You are too late!’ she screamed, defiantly. ‘The time of the Freylarkai has come to an end.’ It had been a long cycle. After Cora’s grizzly operation, followed by the release of her mother, she had overseen the unenviable task of breaking up the Freylarkai mob surrounding Larissa’s warehouse. Under her direction, the house guards had eventually managed to subdue the scared spectators, escorting them back to their homes. The process of breaking up the crowd had not been easy, particularly given her refusal to divulge the specifics of what had transpired inside the warehouse.
