“Kane, let me go, we have to stop-“ I panicked when the image of Damon’s death flashed before my eyes.
I couldn’t help my imagination and how rapidly it had shown me that scene. Nor could I trust that it was only in my imagination. It felt too real. Like a quick glimpse into the future.
“Zaira! You have to calm down! Going down there right now might bring more problems than good! And it’s too late, we can’t take it back!” Kane’s grip did not loosen for a moment. It was tight, yet not stifling but secure.
I struggled for a few more minutes before I gave up.
