Lacey pulled out the band that held her hair up the moment they drove away from the school. Becket glanced at her, worried. "Are you okay?"        She was hiding her feelings again. Looking out the window, she answered, "No." She felt numb. The entire school had watched her call for Tom and then seen them together. Why had she shouted? She could have just called his cell phone. Now they aren't a secret anymore. The whole school really should have burnt down.      With Lacey gone, all eyes were on him.
