The Seal

After my scream, the door of the room I am in opens quickly. It must be the healers coming to the restroom. I'm in complete shock and I scream repeatedly. I can't take my eyes off my reflection in the mirror. My hair was white! My eyebrows and eyelashes were white! Oh my God! This... That was a very different kind of white! Was it me I saw in front of me?! The healers who are pouring in are saying something to me, but I don't hear them. My image is that of a superhuman being... I'm in shock. Okay, this image is perfect, but this is not me! My hair was auburn and there is no way it could turn this color! "Was it even possible for you to turn into a wolf, Ashia?!" I hear a voice saying inside me. The healers around me are panicked and trying to calm me down. I turn to the healers and shout angrily. "You! You did it! You did it! TELL ME! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME?!" "Madam, please calm down..." one of them says, but I start pushing them without listening to what they say. Oh, God... Have I gotten old? Have I... How many years have I been in the hospital? Or... Have I gotten old? No, no, no, no, no, no, no! That's impossible because my skin is like a baby! Oh, my God! My skin! Look at my skin! My skin is like porcelain! I used to be a girl who had trouble with acne, but now... Now I look in the mirror and I have smooth skin like porcelain! My logic cannot find any explanation. I can't think of any other explanation. What happened to me? Suddenly my ears ring and I put my hands to my ears in pain. I fall to the ground and fall to my knees. Healers gather around me and try to understand what happened to me. The pain that appears in my body is so familiar. And my memory comes back. "Hello Ashia..." says the familiar voice. "You... You!" I cry out in pain. "Yes, I am. I am your wolf. I've been trying to reach you for two days, but I can't reach your body because they've been tranquilizing you nonstop." "Damn it! You could be my wolf for generations! What kind of nightmare is this?!" "You're still calling me a wolf, Ashia. Get to know me first, I am Zoe. I have a name Ashia, my name is Zoe." "Zoe..." I mumble and squirm on the floor while talking to Zoe. Why am I in such pain while talking to Zoe? Zoe answers me in my head as if she heard my question. "They must have drugged you to keep your transformation from triggering. It's putting a strain on your body, Ashia." "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" I start to cry out in pain. "Fiona!" shouts Olivia. "Didn't you drug her so she wouldn't turn?!" "I gave... I did!" Fiona answers in surprise. "Why the hell is it so hard then?!" exclaims Freya. "How many doses did you give?" Olivia asks Fiona. "What do you mean?" Fiona is surprised. All three women try to restrain my writhing body on the floor. "Fiona! She's a lupa! You should have given her a double dose! She's not a normal wolf!" I try to push them all away, but the three of them manage to restrain me with difficulty. Suddenly Zoe's voice stops and the pain leaves my body. I blink my eyes wondering what happened and realize they're holding my arm. Hey! They're blocking me from talking to Zoe! I turn my head to the right with the slight sting of the needle in my arm and see Fiona giving me another shot. I put my hand in Fiona's needling hand and dig my nails in. Fiona screams in pain but continues to give me the shot. I was probably going to leave a scar on Fiona. I'm screaming and struggling as Olivia and the others try to restrain me. I think it's a tranquilizer-like substance they give me. Eventually my movements start to slow down and I calm down and the force the women are exerting on me lessens. My breathing gradually becomes regular. I stare at the ceiling for a few minutes. I feel like a mother who has just given birth. I instinctively reach out my hand to Freya. I don't know why I did it, why I chose her. Freya takes my hand in surprise and carefully lifts me off the floor. My gaze shifts to Fiona and my eyes find the wrist I've just drawn. "I'm sorry..." I say, "I didn't mean to... I'm so sorry...." I look at Fiona with embarrassed eyes. Whatever they gave me, I was like a kitten. Fiona just gives me a smile in response. My steps move towards the bed as Freya helps me. I move very slowly and slowly lie back down on the bed. The other healers leave the room, leaving only Olivia in the room with me. Olivia sits in the chair next to the bed and looks at me hesitantly. I think Olivia wants to tell me something. Before long, she suddenly starts talking. "Madam... I know you have a lot of questions, and I have been ordered by Leader Jacob to answer them. You may ask me anything you wish. First of all, you are a shifter like all of us. You are the wolf of this tribe. And you have already seen and experienced this with your own eyes. So I hope that you will not be so alienated by it and that you will not overreact so much every time. On the other hand, you are very valuable to us, you are the lupa of our pack. Our continuity depends on you and your strength. This makes you very valuable to us. Because our leader's wife is our leader." "Stop! What?!" "I'm sorry. I'm sorry... Did I say something wrong?" Olivia is surprised. "What wife?! What leader? What nonsense are you talking?" Olivia raises her eyebrows in surprise. "What do you mean? You... You didn't feel the seal?" "What?! What seal?"
