Chapter 2 Mate

“Are you ready for tonight Xay?” Asked my Beta Chris.

“No not really. You know I’m not fond of the party scenes.”

“Well maybe tonight will be different. Maybe tonight you will find your mate.”

“I doubt it, it’s been three years and no such luck.” I reply

Being 21 and one of the top Alphas in the east, I had no luck when it came to finding my Luna. Normally I wouldn’t care to be tied to someone but in this case my Luna would be my forever and I’ve always wanted that.

Arriving to the party you can tell this pack had money and were well off. Some of the most prominent packs were in attendance and the party screamed elegance. Walking in I was greeted by Alpha Marcus and his Luna Amaris.

“Welcome Alpha Black and Beta Gonzalez. Nice of you to attend.”

“Thanks for having us. I replied.”

Once inside I began to feel uneasy and my wolf Asher wouldn’t stop pacing in my mind.

“What’s wrong Asher?”

“She is here!”

“Who is here?” I ask.

“Mate, mate his here.”

“Are you sure?” I respond back.

“I’m positive.”

I didn’t realize that I was staring off into space until Chris tapped me on the shoulder.

“You alright man?”

“Yea, yea I’m good. Asher just won’t stop pacing. He says my mate is here. Im just not so sure though.”

“Well hopefully she is and if she is hopefully it’s none of the girls we ran into so far; none are that desirable if you ask me.” Chris laughs.

“Well lucky for me I’m not.” I laughed.

About two hours pass and Asher started to get more antsy. He began to howl in my head and I began to tell him to chill out, but that’s when i smell it. A warm honey and vanilla fragrance hits me. I began to follow the scent and there she was, the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. She stood about 5’0, long red curls, the deepest of dark green eyes and curves any man would die for. She was standing at the top of the stairs in the most beautiful gown and if I could at this very moment I would rip it off of her.

I was headed to her when Alpha Marcus began to speak.

“Welcome everyone to the Crescent Moon pack. I thank you all for showing up for my daughters Ariel and Aria’s 18th birthday celebration. They are becoming women as well as receiving a very special gift under the blood moon from the moon goddess.” If you all would join me and Luna Amaris in the court yard out back to begin the commencement.”

Walking out back I wasn’t sure if my mate was Aria or Ariel but I knew that I wanted her and wanted her now. My wolf started to whimper when she didn’t recognize us right away but being she hadn’t turned 18 yet, she hadn’t gained her wolf. The music began to play and both girls were escorted by a warrior. Both were handed off to their parents and the Luna approached them.

She grabbed my mate first. She began her speech.

“Aria as the oldest…”

“Aria that’s her name! So beautiful” Asher says in my head.

“So beautiful” I say in agreement. In that very moment all I could do is picture a wonder life with this women giving her everything she ever dreamed of and all the babies she wanted. This girl is my life and my breath. I couldn’t wait until I got her in my arms and then it happened.
