Party

Three days, it's been three days since I noticed Xian ignoring me. Plus the fact that he's been dating women in front of me. 

There are times na pakiramdam ko iniiwasan din ako ni Margaret and Michael. 

"Xian I think it's too much" I heard Margaret.

"No," I took a sip on my drink. I swallowed hard.

"You want some ice cream?" I asked Xian, offering my ice cream to him. Tahimik siyang tumingin sakin at umiling.

"Do we have a problem? You can tell me, we're friends." He stared at me for a moment and look away

"We're not,"

That hit me hard. Am I just assuming things? Assuming we're friends. Tumayo ako at dinala na ang tray ko. Right Angel, hindi mo dapat pinagsisiksikan ang sarili mo sa kanila lalo na sa kaniya.

Out of anger, I didn't notice the guy in front of me and I bumped into him.

"Sorry," I said not looking at the guy and just staring at the f*****g tray on the floor

"Angel are you okay?" He asked. That's the time I look up to him, his eyes were concern.

"Of course I am." I said sounds proud. I'm a good liar, I guess.

"Silly, we know you're not. Let's go I'll buy you sweets." He pulled my wrist, dragging me with him. I can't help but to smile.

Pumunta kami sa ibang table, somewhere away from their table. 

"Wait me here," he said. I nodded like a freaking puppy. He pat my head and I smiled back to him. 

I glanced at their table and saw Xian looking at our table. Our eyes met for a moment but he look away, avoiding my gaze. 

I can never understand him. 

Xian P.O.V

I felt the guilt on my chest when I saw her eyes with sadness and probably curiosity. When she walk away, the first thing  I wanted to do, is to follow her and bring her back next to me.

I've been with her for months. How can I expect her to be so understanding when we all suddenly avoiding her. 

She must be questioning herself alone.

I'm sorry, but I have to. I didn't know that this will happen too soon. I have to sacrifice my own happiness for her safeties. It would be somehow lesser difficult if she's like us. She's not even an assassin, I would be glad if she's a mafia. 

I cannot guarantee her safety just because she won against Jasmine, a great mafia reaper. Even though Jasmine is one of the best among the mafia reapers, that doesn't guarantee that she can fight. 

That also doesn't guarantee that she will accept me for who I am. She may be a b***h but we know, I'm the kind of worst people.

I'm not the best of course, the Queen is the best-est. I met her once, I was 20 that time and almost dying. I'm not the only one dying, everyone from our team are almost dying but she came. She saved our lives. We owe our lives to her. 

I remembering having a crush on the Queen. That was four years ago and until now I didn't know her face.

"Omg! You really brought a lot." Ryan sat beside her. She immediately hug her out of happiness. That should be me,

"Damn bro, you're so jealous." I heard Michael chuckled.  threw him a f*****g death glare.

"Xian I'm getting bothered, Ryan is a freaking assassin like us. She's close to assassins like us." I glanced at her beside him. 

"Margaret, I don't know what to do anymore," Admitting my weakness.

"I think getting her close to us would be more damn helpful than not knowing her whereabouts." Margaret said. What can I do? What should I f*****g do?

"Bro, I think Margaret is right. At least we can guarantee her safety if we are around," 

I asked the woman beside me to get lost. I couldn't think properly.

"Fine," 

"We can protect her," Margaret held my hand to comfort me. I just nodded.

"Angel, Ryan, why are you there? You should share the table with us," Margaret shouted, 

Angel was quiet hesitant but then she agreed. Umupo sya sa tapat ko and offered me her sweets.

She didn't say anything, she just offered the food using her hand. She pout her lips as I rejected her offer.

"Ice cream?" she said while smiling.

"Ayoko," sabi ko kahit gusto ko dahil galing sa kanya. 

"Chocola----" I cut her off as she offers another sweet.

"ANO BANG MAHIRAP INTINDIHAN SA SALITANG AYOKO!" sigaw ko sa kanya and  I didn't mean that. Her eyes were shock, gustong gusto ko bawiin ang isinigaw ko. 

Angel P.O.V

My eyes widened. Did he just yelled at me? Wala na, ayoko na.

The already thin patience I'm keeping just broke. I'm tired. I'm tired of people not wanting me in their lives.

"You don't have to shout at me just because you don't want my food," I simply said. "You can simply say it to me."

"Wala akong dapat sabihin sa'yo," 

"Just tell what to do...Just tell me" I said almost pleading. 

"Just stay away from me," he said. His eyes were emotionless. Last na Angel, baka pwede pa. Baka I can still keep the friendship.

"You said we're friends," unti unting nababasag ang boses ko.

"Stay away from me. Stay away from me, from my life. Act like you don't know me. Act like I'm complete stranger to you. Act like you hate me, just act like I don't exist. Just stay away please," I stopped myself from breaking out. 

It's painful to see him plead like that. Pumikit ako panandali, pinipigilan ang luha. Tumayo na ako.

"I'll go first. See you around Margaret and Michael." Humarap nman ako kay Ryan, "Thanks for the food, see you around."

I didn't dare to give him any glance. He said act like he's a stranger, like he doesn't exist.

I didn't bother to look back. It's enough drama for me. I did not leave my brother to engage myself in this kind of drama.

I went back to out dorm and changed my clothes. I chose a comfy dress and changed my shoes into a pair of black pumps. 

I retouch myself and went outside holding a clutch with my keys, phone, and wallet inside. 

It's almost eight in the evening. I have a lot of time to enjoy myself and forget everything that happened. 

I saw my car in the parking lot. 

"It's nice to see you again my babe," I said to my Rolls-Royce. I immediately hop in and started the engine. 

I miss this big guy. 

I searched for a good bar. It's already past-nine in the evening when I went inside the Valkyrie. 

"Let's have a good time here," I whisper to myself. Convincing actually.

Nang makapasok ako, maingay na at maraming tao. 

I went directly to the counter and ordered a cocktail. I want to enjoy my night and if I'll immediately get drunk, hindi ako makakapan enjoy.

It took me six glasses of cocktail to have myself a courage. I went on the dance floor. 

"Angel," Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa akin.

"Oh hey," I greeted her back. She went closer to me and kissed my cheek. 

"You look so beautiful," I playfully flipped my hair.

"You too babe," she laughed and asked if I have a table near "No, I actually went here alone," 

"If you're alone, then you should come with me. I'm with Belle." Aurora said. 

Aurora is a business partner. She dated my brother when she was staying in London, studying. Although, they didn't date exclusively. That doesn't exist for my brother. Kidding.

"Fine," hinatak niya ako papunta sa second floor. It's the VIP area, Aurora pointed the table where they were staying. I saw Belle, her friend, drinking alone.

"Why is she alone Aurora?" I asked,

"She's always alone." I laughed on her hidden joke. 

Aurora and Belle are one of my closest friends. They're also part of my other world.

They are assassins, the reason why my brother flirted with her. Dahil nga hindi naman sila nagdate ni kuya exclusively, they just parted ways without saying anything at all. 

Aurora left London to finish a task, while my brother was working on something.

"Omy, Angel," Belle left her drink and immediately went to me.

"It's been a while," I said and hug her back. Hinatak niya ako para maupo sa tabi niya. 

"So you're here pala," she seems drunk, probably from drinking alone.

"Why are you alone in here?" I asked her. Almost shouting because of the loud music. 

"Aurora was flirting. Why should I tag along her?" she rolled her eyes. I heard Aurora chuckeld,

The three of us tried to catch up. They have mission pala here kaya sila nandito. 

Maya maya nagpaalam si Aurora na baba, may be to hook up. Sumabay sa kanya si Belle, mag bathroom daw. 

I am drinking alone when a guy sat beside me,

"Hi miss" 

"Why are you sitting there? You're not invited," his eyes widened. Seems off, umalis na rin siya. 

"Are you alone?" A guy approached me again,

"Depends?" Sabi ko and took a sip on my martini

"Depende kung?" He's smiling like he won. Im sorry dear Im pissed. Ngumiti ako sa kanya

"Depende kung hindi ka marunong magbilang," he immediately left. 

"Hey," someone said

"Omy gosh!" Aagad akong tumayo para lumapit sa kanya. I hugged her tight. "How are you??" I asked. It's been years the last time I saw her.

"Hmmm fine.." she said and eyed my martini "Why are drinking martini?" She asked, almost mocking me.

"I want to enjoy Gelene," I said and she rolled her eyes. 

"Oh by the way, I saw the guy you were flirting last time we saw each other," dire-diretso nyang sabi. Sumingkit ang mata ko, trying to remember who I flirted with. Noong marealize ko kung sino iyon ay natawa ako.

"Gelene, I was 16 the last time we saw each other and you still remember that?" She laughed. Gelene is three-years older than me, same age with my brother. 

My brother actually wanted to date her exclusively, but they both know they can't. Gelene is different from us.

She knows my real identity and I know hers too. She looks innocent but she has ability to kill. But the difference between us, she's bind by the government's law and I'm not. Gelene is a secret agent and it's no longer a secret. Kidding aside, she's working in a nameless organization. It actually has name but no one outside the agents knows about it. The only thing I know about the organization, they work with governments and probably with CIA. We don't work with them. 

I enjoyed the night because of Gelene, Aurora, and Belle. Good thing I saw them here. Baka naging emotional lang ako if Im alone. We drank and we danced, not minding other people around us. 

It's already midnight and I decided to part ways with them. Gelene was called for a mission and Aurora hooked up with a guy. 

"Take care Angel, see you again." Humalik muli sa pisngi ko si Belle bago ito sumakay sa kanyang sasakyan. I drive myself too.

I checked my phone and saw a lot of missed calls and text messages from Margaret. God! Why did I drink so much?

My head is spinning and my tummy is making me feel things. Buti na lang pinapasok pa ako ng guard ng academy, 

I tried to walk straight but obviously not doing it right. Oh s**t! Baka tulog na si Margaret .

Nang makarating ako sa harapan ng room namin, kinuha ko ang keys inside my clutch. I fumbled with the keys. I tried to insert it on the doorknob but the door suddenly opened.

Margaret was behind the door,

"Omy gosh Angel, where have you been?" she pulled me inside the room. I saw Michael behind her.

"Hi!" I tried to walk straight but I almost fell. Luckily, nasalo ako ni Michael.

"Did you drink? Where have you been?" She asked. I laughed at her and used my hand to gesture 

"I came from my mother's womb," and I let out a funny laugh, "oh no, from my father's sperm pala,"

But she look at me with death glare, obviously not laughing on my jokes. Michael tried to make me still

"Fine, I hanged out with my friends outside the academy." I tried to release myself from Michael and walk towards my bed "I went to a bar met my friends there. We just danced, drank, and made out."

Binaba ko ang hawak kong clutch at lumapit muli kay Margaret

"Why is Michael here?" I whisper on her ear "and who is that guy?" pointing to another guy.

"We are so damn worried," sabi ni Michael, 

"I'm sorry, I was having fun I forgot to check my phone," I tried to remove my pumps but I end up sitting on my bed,

"Nagdrive ka ng lasing?" He asked. As in X asked. But I ignored him. Pumunta siya sa harapan ko but I still ignored him and walked past by him but he grabbed my wrist and pulled me 

"Answer me" he asked with frustration but I remained emotionless

"I'm sorry mister but i don't talk to stranger," His jaw dropped. I left them there and I entered our bathroom to clean myself.
