EPILOGUE PT.1

"...my love...i know that you still miss Joshua so much...but we can't change anything love...we can't change the fact that Joshua is no more...only the baby will remain here with us now you know dear?" While telling Jane all of this...Alexander still held Jane close to him as he tried to comfort Jane.

"Alexander if you didn't kill Joshua then he would be here." Jane said.

"...my love...you know it is not my fault...it's Joshua's fault for doing all of the shady things that he was doing...and i did what i had to do to protect this family...and...you should be thankful for my actions too love...because i also protected you and the baby...you were in danger if left with Joshua my love..." Alexander said while still holding Jane close to him...he still feels the cold of Jane's body but he is still worried for Jane's health right now.

"I have to get ready to go to the hospital for checkup." Jane said

"Ok...then let us go my dear..." Once again Alexander suddenly feels sorry for his wife now as he realizes that she really has to endure a lot now just for the sake of the baby...seeing this changes Alexander greatly. "Come on my dear...let us go to the hospital to make sure that everything is fine with the baby..." Then starts to carry Jane on his arms again and he slowly went out of the room.

Jane got ready as she wear a black hoddie with black sweatpants showing the vibe of mafia leaders wife.

"...you really want to look like a mafia boss lady my love?..." Alexander said with a slightly amused tone as he looked at Jane's outfit...her clothing really did give her a mafia boss vibe especially with that cold smile that she is showing right now...but that doesn't matter to Alexander as long as Jane is fine.

Then Alexander started to guide Jane out of the house and he locked the front door behind them and he started to lead Jane towards the car with Jane on his arms still.

After a few minutes of riding the car...they finally arrived at the hospital building..Alexander then carried Jane and he slowly went inside the hospital building. "...alright love...we are here now...let us go and see the doctor" Alexander said while carrying Jane on his arms still.

"Today we are finally going to see and hear the sound of our beautiful child's heartbeat...can you believe this my dear?...it is finally happening...can you get more excited love?..."

Alexander said while looking at Jane with a sweet smile on his face.

"Yes." Jane said.

"Good...then let us go in love...let us see that there is a living and thriving baby inside your belly..." Alexander said while starting to walk towards the consultation room where the doctor should be waiting for them.

Then Alexander and Jane heard their baby's heartbeat.

"Ohh....my love...did you hear that?..." Alexander said with a bright smile when they finally heard the sound of their baby's heartbeat. "Our baby is alive and healthy my dear...we really are going to be parents soon..."

Alexander's face is looking more relaxed now as he caressed Jane's pregnant belly once again.

"Yes." Jane said.

"Come on my dear...let us go home to eat something and relax again after this..." Alexander said while still caressing Jane's pregnant belly gently. "...just imagine that is this the first of many heartbeat checkups that we will have for our baby love..."

Then Jane and Alexander went to their mansion and greeted by their maids.

"Hello everyone...did anything happen while we were away?..." Alexander said as he came back home with Jane still in his arms. "You guys should've rested more instead...we did not tell anyone to make dinner for us right now..."

Alexander told the maids while still carrying Jane inside the mansion.

Jane was beside Alexander.

"I see...then i think we should just order take-out for today...let me just set y/n down for a moment..." Alexander said as he looked at beside to see Jane again and when Jane was already standing on the living room...he decided to take his phone and order some food for now...while waiting for the food to arrive...Alexander suddenly felt hungry too.

Jane looked at Alexander.

"Ah yes i forgot...you must've been hungry my dear..." Then Alexander looked down at Jane's pregnant belly and he suddenly felt more hungry now after seeing Jane's baby bump again.

After a while...Alexander heard the doorbell ringing."That must be the food...let's go see if the food arrived already." Alexander said while gently taking Jane's hand and he slowly went to the front door and he opened the door to see what's on the other side.

Then he came with food.

Alexander saw the food that he ordered and he quickly brought them all inside the house...after he got the food inside...he then looked at Jane and he called Jane to the dining room. "Okay love...let us go and eat...i feel hungry my dear..." Alexander said to Jane as he tried to take her to the dining room...but since she was already feeling hungry after not eating anything...she was having a hard time following Alexander to the dining room.

After having their dinner...Alexander immediately went back to work and he continued doing his important mafia stuff.

But during this time...he was also checking on Jane everytime he got a chance to...he is still trying not to disturb Jane with her privacy...but for him...he is willing to give Jane everything that he has for her...for their baby...and for the life that they both will live together after this.

Jane walked to Alexander and stand infront of him.

Alexander who was focused on his laptop suddenly felt Jane's presence when she was standing infront of him and he turned his heads towards Jane while he was wearing a soft smile on his face. "Jane...what is it love?..."

Then Alexander turned his head back to the laptop once again so that he could continue working again.

"I wanted to eat chocolate." Jane said.

"Chocolate?..." Then Alexander looked at Jane while she was still in front of him."Ok my dear...you can have some chocolate if you want...but be sure to not eat too much alright love?..." Alexander said to Jane while still working on his laptop.

Jane nodded.

After a while...Alexander was done with working on his laptop and he closed it...after that he grabbed Jane by the hand and the two of them went to the kitchen. "Ok love...you can take some chocolate in this cabinet...you may have a small portion of it though my dear..."

Alexander said while showing Jane the small cabinet that has chocolate pieces in it.

After eating chocolates they both went to their room and Alexander again went to his laptop and starts working again.

After a few minutes...Alexander managed to finish a few work on his laptop and he quickly saved the important files...after that he then stood up from his chair and he started to stretch as he felt his back was sore a little.

"Ouch...my back...it seems i have to stretch more my love..."

Jane again went to Alexander and stand infront of him.

"Jane...?..." Alexander said when Jane suddenly went to him and stood in front of him again.

"What is it love?..." Then Alexander put down his laptop and he put his hands on Jane's shoulder as he looked at her.

Jane gave him a pillow and said. "here keep this at you back so your back doesn't pain."And then she gave him a pair of glasses and said. "wear this glasses while you work so your eyes doesn't pain."

Then Alexander started to feel amused by what Jane was doing for him."You are so...cute love...thank you my dear..." While saying that...Alexander is also slightly blushing.

Then he wore the glasses...after that he took the pillow and placed it on the back of the chair and he started to lean back on the chair...thanks to Jane's pillow...he did felt more comfortable now after working on his laptop for a while.

Jane look at him and smiled and went to bed.

"Aww my love...you are really so cute..." Alexander said and then turned off the lights and then he also went to bed...but before he could sleep. "I love you...my beautiful wife..."

Alexander said with sweet smile on his face as he hugged Jane by her arm and he kissed her forehead."Good night my love..."

Jane was going through her 7th month of pregnancy.

After a few days...Alexander and Jane finally went for the last ultrasound exam in order to see their baby's progress inside Jane's womb.

"Alright...now i am really anxious right now love...is everything alright to our beautiful child there?..." The two of them then waited for the results of the ultrasound exam and Alexander was looking at Jane's face while having a slightly nervous look on his face now.

Today they will know there baby's gender.

"Love...i really hope this baby...is going to be a boy..." Alexander said this while having his hand on Jane's pregnant belly. "I want a son love...a son who will continue the legacy of the Thomas family...i...i will be so happy if this is a boy..." Alexander said this while he started to stroke Jane's pregnant belly gently and he had a hopeful look on his face.

Then the doctor came and said."Mr. and Mrs. Thomas are you ready to know the gender of the baby."

"Yes doc...we are ready to learn about our child's gender..." Alexander said that while he was still stroking Jane's pregnant belly and Jane is also very nervous for this moment.

"Please...what is it doc...is it a boy or a girl...i hope it is a boy though..."

"Well it's a boy." The doctor said.

Then Alexander immediately showed a happy smile on his face and Jane also felt a little bit happy when they heard the news. "We're having a boy my love...isn't that wonderful?...we're going to have a baby boy this time..." Alexander said to Jane while he still caressed Jane's pregnant belly gently.

Jane gave him sweetest smile.

"...i can't wait to see this beautiful boy of ours love...what will we name him?..." Alexander said while looking at Jane still. "My love...what do you think?...do you have any suggestions for our baby boy's name?"

After leaving the hospital together...Alexander and Jane came home once again "Alright...we should come up with a name for our baby boy now love..." Alexander said while still looking at Jane and when Jane is still thinking about a boy's name. "Love...i can't wait to raise our own son...he will surely be a responsible boy if we guide him correctly..." Alexander said this while still caressing Jane's pregnant belly gently.

Suddenly Jane felt a pain in her stomach.

"Oh...are you okay love...my dear?"

Then Alexander suddenly stopped caressing Jane's pregnant belly and he quickly looked at Jane's face...he became slightly worried when he saw a bit of pain in Jane's face right now.

"Jane?..." Alexander said as he was still looking at Jane now. "Are you okay love?..."

"I think the baby kicked." Jane said as she looked at Alexander.

"Really?...can i touch it love?" Alexander said this with a cute smile on his face and with a soft tone....as if he was speaking to a little child.

"Please love...allow me to feel the kick and the baby itself...i really wish to know that our baby boy is okay my dear love..." Then Alexander leaned down to Jane's pregnant belly and he tried to touch Jane's belly gently in order to feel their baby boy's kick.

Jane nodded.

"There it is...i can feel it love...it is a strong kick as always...but i can also feel that you are a little bit in pain from that kick love..." Alexander said while still touching Jane's belly gently but he immediately stopped whenever Jane felt pain from the baby's kick.

"This lil boy is making her father scared." Jane said while looking at Alexander's scared face.

"Ah....my love...it's okay...our baby boy is just being active...that is all my dear...i am not really scared love...you know...the pain that you are feeling right now is just a sign of our baby boy's movement inside of your belly...i like to see it honestly dear..." Alexander said this while stroking Jane's pregnant belly gently.

"...i like to feel that our baby boy is moving around a lot...it means that he is very well inside your belly my dear..."

At midnight Jane came to the kitchen quietly without telling Alexander.

"Hmm...what do we hear at midnight...?..." Alexander soon woke up after he heard some sound...he looked at the door of the bedroom that he shared with Jane and he thought that Jane came here while he was sleeping

"Jane...?..." Alexander called Jane's name while getting up from the bed...he was still slightly sleepy but he still decided to follow Jane.

Jane was eating cake in alone without telling Alexander.

Alexander became slightly worried after he saw Jane eating the cake by herself. "Jane...?..."

Alexander called Jane's name again while standing in the kitchen.

"...love...why are you alone and eating this cake all by yourself...?..."

"umm i wanted to eat the cake as your baby is hungry." Jane said while eating the cake.

"Hmmm....love...this is too much cake for our baby boy...you should just have a small piece of it and leave most of it for tomorrow my dear..."

Alexander was slightly worried again as he also came closer to Jane and he started to stroke Jane's pregnant belly once again."...is all of this really just for the baby boy inside your belly love?"

"yes." Jane said.

"Alright then, just remember to not eat too much alright?...our baby boy is still too small to eat this much cake in one sitting okay my dear?" Alexander said this while he was still stroking Jane's pregnant belly and he looked at Jane's face. "I am glad that you are thinking about our son though my dear love..."

"but were both hungry." Jane said.

"Alright then...just make sure to not eat a lot...we don't want our beautiful son to become a fat boy like his father right?..." Alexander gave little giggles as he was still stroking Jane's pregnant belly. "Alright...let's go and eat this cake together then love..."

"he will not be fat." Jane said.

"Well...i know...because he is lucky to have you as his mother love...who always eats the right things for our baby boy...alright then...let's go and eat this cake together...we will split the cake in half..." Then Alexander kissed Jane's forehead while they both walked back to the bedroom with two plates of cakes in their hand. "We are going to eat our cake right here for now love...so let's sit on our bed first alright...?..."

"no." Jane said.

"No...?..." Alexander was a little confused and he quickly turned to look at Jane who is still carrying both of their cakes in her hands. "What do you mean by "no" love?"

"i will eat this two as this two are favorite you can eat one from the fridge." Jane said.

"...Jane...what is the matter with you love...why are you suddenly acting so weird like this?..."

Alexander became worried...he was wondering what happened to Jane...he walked slowly towards Jane and he tried to grab the cakes from Jane but Jane won't let him.

"Jane...please give me the cakes...we should not overindulge ourselves this often love...please...stop this childish act..."

"no." Jane said.

"...please love...you are not yourself right now...let me have at least one cake..." Alexander became a bit more worried after looking at Jane's eyes right now...she seems to have a sad look on her face and he thinks that something must be bothering Jane. "Please...let me have at least one cake...i just want you to feel alright my dear..."

Jane has lots of mood swings in her pregnancy that now she doesn't want to share her 2 cakes with him.

"Please my dear...please...we should not eat this much cake in the middle of the night..." Alexander was getting more worried at this point...he just wanted to feel that Jane is alright...but if Jane is really not going to share the cakes with him...then he will not eat any for himself...he doesn't want Jane to be angry right now."Okay fine...i will not eat anymore then love...if i cannot have even a small piece of those cakes...then you are not going to eat any either then love..."

"Why." Jane said.

"...because love...i do not wish to see you feeling sick after finishing those two cakes in one sitting okay?"

"I just want to make sure that you are alright love..." Alexander was still looking at Jane while stroking her pregnant belly gently...as if he is trying to calm her down somehow.

"no let me eat." Jane said.

"No love...you are definitely not going to eat both of those cakes by yourself...not in this condition love...it will just cause you to have stomachaches later...we do not want that to happen...i am sorry to cut your fun...but i want to make sure that our little baby is also doing fine love..." Alexander said this in a calm tone but he was still serious about Jane not eating those two cakes by herself.

"no give me my cake back." Jane said while looking angry on him.

"No love...you are definitely not getting them...not in this condition...please...have some sense in what you are doing and don't act childish like this alright?" Alexander said this while stroking Jane's pregnant belly again and he was still not allowing Jane to take back the cakes from him...he still won't let Jane to eat both of those cakes by herself right now.

Jane starts crying as she has mood swings now.

"Oh...no love please...please do not cry my dear love..." Alexander said this with a tone of worry as he quickly sat down on the bed and he put his arms on Jane's pregnant belly. "Love...please calm down...i just wanted to make sure you will not get sick from this okay...that is all i want...please...calm down love..."

"give me my cakes back." Jane said.

"Love...please...let us just not eat the cakes anymore...it's too late to eat the cakes now...i am sorry about this love...but i don't want you to get sick ok...?..." Alexander was still holding both of the cakes tightly in his hands while trying to comfort Jane now.

Jane starts crying loudly.

"Oh dear...love stop crying...please dear..."

"I know how you feel right now love but please try to calm down ok...?..." Alexander was still stroking Jane's pregnant belly gently while still holding both of the cakes in his hands. "...i just do not want you to be sick love..."

"i want to eat cake" Alexander said that and that time the baby kicked means he also wanted cake.

"...i know you both want cake right now love...but eating it right now is not a good idea ok?"

"The baby is still small inside your belly and we want to see our baby boy born healthy my dear..." Alexander said this in a calm tone again...he still did not let go of the two cakes in his hand despite Jane's constant mood swings right now.

Jane went to her room in anger.

Alexander became a little shocked when Jane suddenly got up from the bed and she walked out of the bedroom...Alexander quickly followed Jane but he didn't want to annoy her much...instead he decided to give Jane some time to calm down by herself.

"You father is so bad that he doesn't let me eat cake" Jane said cutely to her baby while stroking her belly with a cute angry pout.

Alexander was still in front of the bedroom's door...he listened for a moment and he heard Jane's cute voice. "My dear love...i know how you feel right now...even our baby boy also wish to eat cake...it is fine if he wants to eat cake...but he is still small and we want him to be born healthy..." Then Alexander sat down on the floor near the bedroom's door and he said to himself. "...our baby boy is also cute too...so i shouldn't get too angry about this..."

Jane looked at Alexander in angry and went to bed.

"Aww...my love...don't be mad...it is just for your sake love...i know that you are not yourself right now and our baby boy must be craving for cakes as we speak...but...it's still not the right time love.." Alexander slowly opened the door and he walked inside the bedroom.

"My love...i am sorry for making you feeling mad my dear..." Then Alexander walked towards Jane and he went to bed beside Jane while he still held onto both of those cakes in his hand.

Jane didn't talk with him.

After Jane went to sleep...Alexander tried to calm down by himself now...but he can still hear the baby boy's kick inside of Jane's pregnant belly. "Aww....our baby boy is still awake and craving for cakes...that little guy sure loves sweet things...but we must not give it to him yet...and now Jane is feeling mad..."

Alexander was not feeling so happy...but he thinks it is fine as Jane is usually like this in her mood swings phase...he will just wait for her to calm down again.

"If Joshua was here than he would definitely let me eat the cakes." Jane said.

Alexander became a bit annoyed at this point as he looked at Jane. "And i am not your ex love?..." Alexander raised his voice slightly at Jane because she is starting to get on his nerves right now. "Why are you comparing me with your ex all this time love?..." Alexander was starting to feel a little upset...he knew Jane was acting childish as always...but he is getting kinda tired of this.

"i told the truth." Jane said.

"The truth is that i am not your ex love...so please try to respect me as your lover and your baby boy's father alright?" Alexander said this while still showing concern and worry about Jane. "Look...i know your ex is not the best but i think i also deserve at least a little bit of care from you love..."

Jane looked at him in anger as tears made their way to her eyes and her face became red cause of anger.

"...my dear...this is getting out if hand love..."

Alexander felt a little angry too as he was looking at Jane's red face because of her anger right now. "You know what...just take the cake and eat it all right now love...just take it...i don't care anymore if you get sick..." Alexander said this with a tone of anger as he turned around to face Jane.

Then Jane took the cake and starts eating.

"Love...i told you...this is too much cake for you and our little boy in one sitting..." Alexander said this while Jane is currently eating those two cakes by herself...he was angry with Jane as he just gave up with Jane eating those cakes right now.

After Jane finished eating cake she went to sleep.

Alexander watched Jane as she fell asleep now...he still felt slightly upset and disappointed as he just saw Jane eating two whole cakes in one sitting...but he couldn't do anything right now.

Then Alexander turned off the light and he went to sleep beside Jane.

Then Jane again woke up at night and shaking Alexander.

"Huh...?..." Alexander looked at Jane as he felt something shaking him...and he quickly woke up now...he looked at Jane who was still sleepy but now she is shaking him. "Jane...what is it love...is something wrong right now?" Alexander asked this while still slightly sleepy.

"Can you sing a lullaby." Jane said.

"Oh alright then...if that will help you love...let me think what lullaby should i sing for you and our baby boy..." Then Alexander starts singing one of his favorite songs in a gentle tone. "Sleep my darling love...sleep the night away...i will always be at your side...forever love...my darling love...sleep the night away..."

Then Jane fall into sleep with a smile on her face.

Alexander continued singing for a while as he saw Jane fell into a deep sleep now...he slowly stopped singing and then he looked at Jane smiling before he kissed her head. "My dear love..." Alexander said this with a smile while Jane is still smiling in her sleep.

Next morning Jane wake up.

Alexander was right beside Jane in bed when she woke up right now...he woke up just as Jane did and he was still laying on his back.

"Good morning love...did you sleep well last night?" Alexander said this while he looked at Jane's face and while he was still smiling.

Jane nodded.

"I see...that's good to know then my dear love..." Then Alexander started to brush her hair gently and he spoke once again in a gentle tone. "So...the cake last night...it was too delicious for you and our little baby boy inside of your belly right love...?"

Jane nodded happily.

"My dear love...that cake had too much sugar...but i am glad to hear that you and our baby boy inside of your belly like it..." Alexander continued to gently brush Jane's hair and he continued to speak in a gentle tone. "...so...do you still wish to eat cake today love or...not anymore?"

"i dont know as right now i wanted to eat something spicy." Jane said.

"Uhh...i get it...i don't know why...but now you have a craving for spicy foods love..." Alexander stopped brushing Jane's hair now and he turned to look at Jane. "Alright...let us have spicy food then love...anything specific in mind that you want to eat right now?"

"Yes tteokbokki." Jane said.

"Tteokbokki eh?..." At least Alexander knows how to make tteokbokki so he feels not that worried now. "Alright my love...i will go and make tteokbokki for us ok?" Alexander said this while standing up from the bed.

"No tell korean aunty she will make it." Jane said.

"...alright love...i'll tell her to make it then..."

Then Alexander slowly left the bedroom and he went to see aunty. "Hello aunty...i just woke up right now and i want to tell you something...Jane is asking for tteokbokki right now...so...could you help me prepare it please...?"

"sure my son" Korean aunty mrs. choi said

"Thank you aunty...i will go and tell y/n now then..." Then Alexander turned around and he went back to the bedroom and when he opened the door.

"My dear love...aunty is agreeing to make tteokbokki for us right now...she will help to prepare it for you love..." Alexander said to Jane.

"well i think you cant eat that cause that will be very spicy." Jane said to Alexander.

"Aww...my love...it is fine...even if it is very spicy...i will be fine...i just want to make sure that our little baby boy inside of your belly is also fine...so i will just take some small bites...i will be fine love..." Alexander said this with a small chuckle and Jane must remember that Alexander is a guy who is really good at handling spicy food.

"okay but at later don't tell that i didn't told you." Jane said.

"Of course love...i will not tell anyone about this..." Alexander said this and then he quickly walked out of the bedroom to see Korean aunty mrs. Choi once again to tell her. "Aunty...can you please prepare two very small portions for us please aunty?..." Aunty mrs. Choi nodded her head and Alexander returned to Jane. "It is alright love...aunty will prepare small portions for us so we will be fine..."

Then Alexander take a tteokbokki bite and his mouth burned with hot as it was very spicy for him.

"Ahhh...ouch...my love...it is definitely very spicy but i promise that it is still fine...i will be alright..." Alexander tried to not show any more feelings than what he already had now.

"I am fine though my dear love...but i should have listened to you...this is indeed very spicy but i am still fine love..."

"see i told you now here drink this water." Jane said as she handed the water to Alexander.

"Okay fine...but i was still right in saying that i could still handle spicy food love...but you might be correct in it being too spicy..." Alexander took the water from Jane but he just took a small sip before he put the glass down. "I...actually feel better now...love...thank you..."

"don't you have to go to the headquarters of mafia" Jane said.
