WEDDING PARTY
Anna broke down immediately Ethan left the place. It was obvious that she wasn't dreaming initially, Everything she had heard and seen was true.
She wept uncontrollably as she remembered his words. Her heart broke into pieces knowing that he never loved her, She staggered and almost fell to the ground, but somehow she managed to hold herself.
She tried to walk but was unable to move and when she tried again she almost stumbled without knowing, but the wall in the hallway held her as her back hit it and while she winced in pain.
The whole day had just made her weak and the only place that could give her comfort was her room.
Anna managed to reach her room, she cried and cried with no one to console her.
She wiped her tears when she heard some noise from outside. She tried to look out and saw an unbearable scene.
Ethan and Vera were chatting and smiling happily. Ethan had bent down to peck Vera before he opened the door for her and they drove off.
The sight of this added to her pain, it worsened the matter. She knelt on the ground and bowed her head as fresh tears poured out of her eyes.
She couldn't believe she had been betrayed in the most painful way she had ever imagined.
Everything Ethan had told her came flashing back into her memory.
Anna couldn't believe he had convinced her to believe he loved her because he was under the influence and was missing his fiance and needed someone to go down with.
Anna cried as she remembered how unfortunate her life had been, from being abandoned by her parents at the orphanage and the struggles of growing up without a parent to coming to work at the Wilson mansion as a maid and getting betrayed by the only man she had ever loved.
He was her first love, she had always heard beautiful things about first love and how it ended perfectly but hers was worse than she had ever imagined.
She blamed herself for falling in love with Ethan.
The way he looked at her so affectionately anytime he spoke to her like he meant his words had deceived her into falling deeply in love for an already taken man.
The word "Taken" pierced her heart and made her current situation unbearable.
She loved him so much and there was nothing she could do. Even with the mean things he had said to her, she still loved him regardless.
She tried to remember all his hurtful words and hate him for it but all to no avail instead she loved him more.
Anna continued crying like everything in her life was finished and there were no pieces of her broken heart left for amendments.
She didn't know what to do, but crying was not going to solve anything.
"This is not the end of the world. I have to forget about him and move on". She said to herself. At this point, no one could advise her except herself.
She had to brace up, forget the past and continue with her life.

It was the day of the wedding.
Mrs Celine had made Anna stay in the kitchen the previous day and the wedding day preparing the wedding dishes. She had told Anna she was following instructions from those in authority in the Wilson's mansion.
The people they had invited had arrived as the ushers led them to the wedding hall.
It was now time for the wedding, time to exchange wedding vows between Ethan and Vera.
Anna had finished her work in the kitchen and walked immediately to her room. She had tried to rest before she got a knock on her door.
She rushed to open the door and found out it was Mrs Celine.
"Why are you still here Anna, the wedding is about to start Hurry up." Mrs Celine ordered.
"Please ma I don't think I can function well today, am having some menstrual pains" She eye searched Mrs Celine to see if what she had told her was convincingly. She could not bear the thought of going to the wedding of someone she loved and looking at them exchange vows, it was going to be a heartbreaking sight to behold.
"Mrs Wilson needs all the maids' attention in the wedding and she instructed that everyone must be there to help out, So change into these clothes and come downstairs immediately, I don't want to look for you Anna" Mrs Celine instructed and left the room.
Anna felt weak, it seemed like everyone was trying to torment her, she knew not to disobey Mrs Celine and changed into the clothes immediately.
She quickly got dressed and went down to the wedding hall, she saw that the maids were lined up at the back of the hall and she followed suit.
She stood there heartbroken as Ethan and Vera exchanged their wedding vows.
Tears rolled from her eyes as they wore their rings and laughed joyfully. It was obvious she wasn't still over Ethan. She tried to stop crying and clean her tears but more tears kept pouring.
"You may now kiss your Bride," The clergyman said as Ethan pulled Vera's vell and Kissed her passionately. They were so engrossed in the kiss that the crowd started clapping before they parted.
Anna couldn't take it any longer, and with tears, she immediately ran out of the hall to the restroom.
It was now time for the main ceremony to start as the master of ceremony had announced.
Mrs Celine instructed all the maids in the mansion to serve drinks and dishes.
She looked into the small mirror in her room and noticed that her eyes were already swollen and ready. She couldn't allow anyone to see her looking so miserable, especially Ethan and Vera.
She quickly got to the bathroom and washed her face up. Her eyes were still teary, but she pushed it back.
She braced herself even though her heart was still heavy.
"Steady!, steady!" She said coming herself down.
She got out of the room and headed to the hall again.
Her eyes met with the happy couples dancing and she immediately removed her eyes. She reminded herself not to look at Ethan so that she doesn't resume crying. She really had to get over Ethan.
The chief maid had ordered them to start serving the guests.
Anna was ordered to serve the newly wedded couples even after she had avoided to.
She composed herself and went towards the corner where Ethan and Anna were.
She had kept a glass of wine to Ethan and just as she was about to give another glass of wine to Vera, Someone mistakingly pushed her from behind and the whole glass of wine she was carrying on the fancy tray poured on Vera's expensive reception dress.
Before she could apologise she was taken aback by the sound of three hot slaps, and immediately the whole place became quiet and for a moment it looked like time had stopped.
Anna could swear she saw stars.
