Three days…. Calypso had only been gone for three days, yet everyone within our kingdom, was already looking to me for clues as to if we should be preparing or not. I had no clue, no word, nothing to let me know to make the decision to have our guards begin training our warriors, to decide on evacuation’s or even what we were going to be doing.
The sheer anxiety of being left in charge of hundreds of people’s lives, began to crawl its way to the surface of my mind. The what if’s chasing away any confidence I had in my ability to run a kingdom in the absence of our queen.
