You would think that the entrance to a library containing all our dark secrets would have been heavily guarded. However, no guards had been assigned to this room. Leaving such vital information unguarded was a huge mistake on the royal family’s part, or perhaps they simply thought it was worthless to leave guards with information no one would think to seek out. Pushing open the doors, swishing my tail, my nerves were on edge. Everything I needed to know was within reach. For example, how many exact powers could we have? How many abilities could we learn pertaining to our unique powers? Did we only have one power per merfolk? Why did I have two sets of magical abilities?
