Visiting the other noble families around the kingdom, gave me a look into the side of everything going on. Prince Edgar was accepting bribes, to continue the old rule from thousands of years ago, from the elders who still controlled their families’ finances, and alliances. Those who had already turned control over to the new generations, were refusing to bribe Edgar. Stating that they wanted a new rule to usher in better times for the people of the kingdom.
The small numbers who remained untouched among the nobles were the families whom Kira needed to target. With a promise of better times, new rule, and possibly new alliances between other species, I stood a chance at gaining the power I needed to turn around our kingdom.
