Chapter 2

I had just arrived at school, so I parked my car and headed inside. My best friend was waiting outside for me as she was on her phone talking to someone as she looked at me after she hung up the phone.

Hey, girl, how has it been lately?

I laughed, said I'm doing alright. I just found out I can have a big party on Friday.

"Oh my gosh, what really?" how did you convince your parents to have a big party?

Yes, really!" Well, it took some convincing from my dad but my mom was able to and I could invite boys this time.

It's an unbelievable girl finally!

I laugh. I know girl!

We headed inside to head to our locker. I grabbed my chemistry and math books, so I wouldn't have to come back to my locker until my third class.

My friend told me she couldn't believe we had one more year left before we graduated.

Yes, we will be done with this high school.

Then I saw my other friends that were coming towards Ava and me. My group of friends was, of course, Ava, Ace, Mia, Raiden, Lea, and Fabian.

I greet everyone before we realize we need to head to class.

They nodded and said we would meet up at lunch. So we separated and headed to class because I was going to be in class with Fabian and Mia for chemistry and, after that, math, with Ace and Raiden.

Fabian and I went to Chemistry. We sat by each other.

ugh I hate chemistry Fabian said

hmm it will be over soon Fabian

yea, so there is this party tonight and the boys and I want you to come.

hmm. I will see what I can do!

Is it because of your father?

Yeah, as I wrote, what the teacher instructed us to write in our assignments.

Fabian can be a goofball sometimes.

The class finished an hour ago.

I grab my bags and head out the door and I hear Fabian saying that he will meet me at lunch.

It was going to be a nice day until Vanessa and her group of friends came over and, of course, caused trouble.

Oh is it the girl whose father won't let her date, as she perks up to me and smiles at me! She told her friends as they laughed at me.

You have some joke and start something that you won't be able to finish. As I looked at her, she stopped laughing and gave me a look.

Look, I don't have time with you or your group as I was about to leave.

Oh, so you think you are better than us?

No, I don't, but I don't go hookup with every guy in this school as I left heading to my next class. I heard her huff and walk away to who knows where. I didn't want to deal with them, so I sighed.

I saw Ace and Raiden come over to sit on each side of me.

Hey, what's wrong with you seeming out of it today? asked Ace.

It's nothing, guys

hmm..that's a nothing look. said Raiden

it just walked into Vanessa before coming to hear.

Oh, that slut Vanessa, who she thinks is better than everyone else and owns the school, said Ace.

We keep our voices down so we won't get into trouble.

and you two didn't?

No, they were looking for someone who respects their body rather than gives it away to every guy they both say.

Don't worry, you will find someone that you both treat each other right as I smile at them. They look at each other and then at me and say," That is why we love you so much". You thoughtfully.

Guys don't make me blush as I see the class is almost over and we head straight to the cafeteria.

I grab my lunch box out of my bag after sitting on our bench. My friends join me and we enjoy having random conversations.

So did you hear that Seraphina is finally going to have a big party and she is allowed to invite boys to them as well? said Ava.

What really? says the boy at our table.

Yes, it is true.

This is time for a celebration and going to a coffee shop after class is over.

sure it will be a blast as I eat my food. Then I saw one of the popular boys start to come over to me. His name is Malachi.

Hi Malachi, as I turned toward him to give him attention.

I was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie with me on Friday?

I was about to respond but my friend Lea said Sorry Malachi but it is her birthday and she is having a party, but you could come as she just openly invited him without my consent.

Great, well I guess I will see you there as he smiles and leaves.

Yes boo, every guy is chasing after her and she is not even fazed by it at all, says Ava.

I laughed it off and told them that it was not a big deal if they kept trying to get my attention. Also, I'm not even that popular, as I took a sip of my water.

They gave me a serious look.

I thought about it, then it clicked" Oh!!!

Now she gets it. We have an oblivious girl that we love so much with her innocent," said Ace.

So when are we going to start planning that party," said Ava.

Um, I will have to get an invitation tomorrow.

Boo, we will get them when we are out after the coffee shop.

alright as I laugh. It was time for the next History class; English, and Spanish. Then we are out for the day.

the school was over and I head to my car. I text my parents.

"group text"

Hey mom and dad, I wanted to let you know that I will be hanging out with friends for a bit.

Mom: Okay, enjoy!

Dad: Yes, enjoy, and no boys!

Me: sorry dad but Ace, Raiden, and Fabian are going to come to love ya

Dad: Where are you going? I'm coming right over!

Mom: oh no you're not Vincent. I will lock you up and the house and hide the keys and let her have fun with her friends.

Dad: alright fine, enjoy your mother will get me if I even attempt to try. ps your mother can be scary at times.

Mom: Vincent, what do you say about me?

Dad: oops gotta go love ya

I laughed and told them I loved them too and started heading to the cafe.
