Raine walked quickly through the hallway, her steps uneven at first before she steadied herself.
She tried to recall the path they had taken earlier.
Left turn. Then another corridor. Then the long hallway with the tall pillars.
Her brows furrowed slightly as she walked.
“That should be it…” she muttered under her breath, she glanced at the sky it was getting dark.
“Liya must be worried”.
After a few more turns, she finally recognized her wing.
She let out a small breath of relief and pushed the door open.
“My lady!”
Liya rushed toward her immediately.
Her eyes widened as she took in Raine’s state.
“Where have you been?” she asked, her voice filled with worry. “I have been looking for you everywhere.” This time a tear left her eyes.
