Raine walked quickly through the hallway, her steps uneven.
The itching had reduced, but something still felt off. Her fingers hovered near her neck, resisting the urge to touch it again.
Raine turned a corner and suddenly stopped as she glared at the figure, Raphael stood in front of her.
Her expression changed immediately.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
Raphael stepped closer. “I have been looking for you,” he said. “Why did you leave the hall like that?” He had noticed her leaving abruptly earlier.
“That is none of your concern,” Raine replied.
Raphael frowned at her cold tone.
“It is my concern,” he said. “You did not look well.”
“I said I am fine.” Raine said, trying her best to control her emotions.
