C43: The Feast
Once the sun disappeared and reddish hues spread across the evening sky, Raine slowly closed the book she had been reading.
The room was quiet until the door suddenly opened.
Liya rushed inside with bright eyes. “My lady, the feast will begin soon.”
Raine blinked and placed the book on the table. “So soon?” Liya nodded eagerly. “Everyone is already preparing.”
Raine went to the bathroom attached to her room, she undressed and stepped into the bath that had already been prepared for her.
Warm steam filled the room as she slowly stepped inside the water.
For a moment, she allowed herself to relax.
