C36: A Foolish Idea
On her way back to her room, Raine spotted Prince Kaizen standing near the hallway that led to her quarters.
He looked oddly relaxed, leaning against one of the pillars as though he had been waiting there for a while.
Raine pursed her lips slightly.
Once she got close enough, she lowered her head politely. “Greetings, Your Highness.”
Kaizen smiled immediately. “You should stop being so formal around me.”
Raine straightened slowly. “You are still a prince.”
“Even though I still insist,” he replied lightly.
Raine said nothing to that.
Kaizen pushed himself away from the pillar and glanced at her carefully. “Come take a walk with me.”
Raine blinked. “A walk?”
“Yes.” he answered casually.
She shook her head politely. “I would rather return to my room.”
