"It's getting late, Theo." Mr. Hud— Alderic said and I hummed, my eyes were closed and his head was still resting on my shoulders. And I had mine on his. I had initially thought he had fallen asleep. But when he spoke, I knew he wasn't. Neither was I asleep. But it was so silent between us, for so long that I mistook it with his sleep.
