I pulled up at the loft. We'd planned on hitting the drive thru on our way home, but with both kids now asleep I ignored my rumbling stomach and decided that their bed was probably more important right now. To me, sleep suddenly seemed like the most attractive prospect in the world. I didn't want to wake them, so taking the elevator, I took them up one at a time. They were significantly heavier than the last time I'd carried them, but it was a simple, pure, joy to carry your children whilst sleeping.
