22 Alaric and I get to the meeting just in time to catch the end of Athena’s lecture. She was telling Zahara off for last night’s shenanigans and how this is the type of nonsense that brought Zeus down and without discipline we’ll find ourselves in the same place as him. Athena’s nostrils flare as Alaric and I slip into our seats. He made sure to stop and retrieve Sting, who he was worried might be missing him. “Now that you two have finally deigned to bestow some of your precious time on the rest of us, we can get started.” Athena looks down at her watch. “Except that it’s time for my daily tea and tonic. Let’s take ten, everyone.” With that she sweeps from the room, apparently unaware or uninterested in the irony of her telling of us off for wasting time and then doing the exact same
