14 Logan smiled at Courtney’s double entendre. Being with her had been an adventure so far, and if he shared what was in his imagination, she’d be the one to answer that question. He handed her his duffel, then began to untie the dock lines. She set her journal and pen inside her own duffel, then turned to pull the choke for the small outboard. It took her a few tries. She was beginning to think that she carried some bad karma when it came to engines. In a puff of blue smoke and the stench of gasoline, Courtney settled herself on the back bench as Logan walked the Zodiac out of the slip, then gracefully stepped onto the front bench.
