41 The sun was warm, but with the approach of winter, it wasn’t as intense as it was during the summer. Courtney strolled along the beach, her eyes on the water, the waves capped with white as the afternoon breeze picked up. She’d miss this. She’d miss Maria, at least until her work visa was approved and she could come live with Courtney. She smiled and shook her head. “Take care of” were Maria’s words, and that was all Maria desired to do. Yesterday was her last dive for a while. She didn’t swim with her pod of dolphins. Hitching a ride with the diving school boat, the dolphins weren’t where they had dropped anchor.
