“I’ve sent him three voicemails and four texts, all pertaining to his whereabouts, to Escobedo’s demands, information about David, the Swanson woman, and Daniel.”
“Has he made contact with you?” Scott asked.
“No. I think his phone was dead, and he used the code to activate the reserve battery power, which probably lasted just long enough for him to get the messages.”
Kelly thought for a moment. “It makes sense that Daniel would have followed Logan to Baja. He’s been under tight security since David brought him back. I bet it really pissed Daniel off that Escobedo didn’t kill Logan.” She shrugged. “Now he figures it’s up to him. If he’s interfering with the extraction, Daniel at least keeps Logan where he can get to him.”
