Chapter 5: The Alteration of Bodies

Selene's POV

I wake up with a headache but with an enormous smile on my face. I think I had the best dream I could possibly have, and I think the fake friend issue really gets to me cause I made a friend in my dreams. I reached for my phone on the bedside table but what I take is the hand mirror. 

"Ahhhhh!!!!!" I drop the mirror and I fell into the bed. Ugh, that hurts.

"Jane, what's wrong?" Someone enters the room who I don't recognize. Wait, did she just called me Jane?

"Uh, nothing," I said. I need to be calm and have a talk with Jane about what's happening and I'm guessing the one who just enters is her brother Jax.

"Then why did you shout? Huh, don't shout like that, or you'll only just worry mom." He said, then gets out of the room. The moment he leaves, I quickly look into her mirror which I take the normal mirror and look closely. Woah, so what happened in my dream is all real? I took the magic mirror and can see my ceiling. So did we swap bodies or what?

"Hey, Jane! Wake up!" And I don't know if I'm getting crazy cause I am shouting at the mirror quietly. I need to do this or else he might hear me again.

"Uh, why are you being so noisy Selene?" She grunts at me. I wait for her to pick the mirror and look at me so she can realize what situation we're in.

"What in the world happen? Is that me? Oh my goodness, how? What? Why? Uhh." She said

"I know right? How can this happen? You're the one who knows more about magic, why don't you tell me?" I said quickly after she realizes what just happen. She sits on the bed and thinks about what happened, after a minute or so, she looks at me and said, 

"Do you remember before we fell asleep, we wish we could've been in each other places." She explained,

"So are you saying if we do that later again, maybe we'll go back to our original body?" 

"Maybe, and we need to fell asleep at the same time too. Cause I think we did that too after we wish it." I nodded 

"So, just for one day. We need to survive and live for each other life." I said, and she nodded. "So anything I need to know about today?" 

"Well, you will meet my brother there and mother also will be there. You need to head out to the store and sell potions to hunters, the price is there so you don't have to worry. Make a way that Jax will accompany you to the store so you'll know where it is and make your way back home. And while you're traveling, make sure to greet all the one who greeted you. Before you leave the house, make sure mom is okay." 

"Alright, I think I can manage that. And are you really that friendly, greeting all the people?" I laughed as I said jokingly to her. She smiles and said, 

"Well, they're helping me keep an eye on my father. You know, the drunk. So, what do I need to know about yours?" And that's what it hit me, I have a shoot today. 

"Oh my gosh, I have a photoshoot today. Can you explore my cellphone right there and click the gallery so you will know how to pose to the camera. And take note of what I wear so you know what you'll wear for the day. Clint, my bodyguard knows where you need to go so you don't have to worry. The shoot will happen later afternoon, so for the remaining time make sure you'll study how to pose and dress, and explore things there. Okay?" 

"I didn't know being popular is hard." She laughs nervously

"And oh, I think my boyfriend will drop by but I'm sure it will be quick so don't worry." She nodded and about to say something but Jax enter my room again. 

"Hey let's eat and you have to go to the store, I'm almost done with the potions." He said

"Doesn't he know how to knock on the door before entering? Anyway, talk to you later." I said to her then put the mirror on the table and stand up to bed. I look around her room and it looks like there's a disaster and a war that has been done here. I need to clean this up when I get back home, looking at it makes me very itchy. I make my way through her dresser and pick up some clothes that look appealing to me and put it on me. I wore a white long sleeve blouse with ruffles on it and partner it with a red velvet high-waist long skirt. Wow, she has a great body. This looks so good on her, I search for a hair tie that I can use so I can clearly see her face. Her hair is a mess so I brush it up and tie it to a bun. She looks pretty good, if she's living in our world she definitely can be a model.  

"Jane!! You will be late opening up the store!" Jax shouted, I rolled my eyes and quickly leave the room. I see Jax is busy cooking breakfast. I look around the house and it's small but it has a nice touch that they can call it home. 

"Woah, who are you? Why are you so dressed up? Did you bump your head when you fell to your bed?" He asked continuously with a shocked face. I rolled my eyes and said, 

"Haha, very funny. Isn't this casual?" I said. 

"Yes, but you normally don't look like this. This is the first time I've seen you fix yourself." I knew it, she's letting this beauty keep it to herself.  

"Anyway, can you help me bring these potions to the store? That's a yes right, thank you. I'll check up on, uh, mom now so get ready." I said hurriedly and then turn my back to him looking at the doors. 

"Wow thanks for asking me, sure yes why don't I do that to my lovely sister." He said, I rolled my eyes at him and then open one of the doors and hope this is the right one, I peek at it and see a lady sleeping in her bed. 

"Hey, um,  mom, breakfast is ready. I will bring some food to you and uh, Jax will accompany me today at the store but I will let him go home fast so you don't need to worry." I said, she looks at me with a genuine smile that makes my heart ache to see her weak like this. She doesn't need to experience this, why did her husband do this to her. 

"You are the one who must not worry about me, after I eat and drink a healing potion I will go back to rest." She assures me, "Now go and bring me my food, can you darling?" 

I nodded at her and smile, I went to their dining room to get her some food and bring it to her room. 

"Jax will be right back soon." She nodded and smile at me, I hurriedly eat my breakfast and so did Jax. After eating, we start our travel to the store right away. All we bumped into, greeted us and said that Jane looks nice today. Of course, she is, she always looks nice and pretty but doesn't know how to fix herself.

After an hour and a half, I think we arrive at the store. Their store looks normal if you lived here but for me, it looks old and boring. We enter the store and I sent him back right away, I look around and explore all the things I need to know. The store is small, when you get inside the counter is almost at the door, and the shelves where the potions are behind the counter. After looking around, I sat behind the counter and wait for a customer to come by. 

After how many hours have passed, only two customer drop by today and bought a few things from the shop. I already manage to look at what's outside and it's totally peculiar here but a wonderful place. 

When I got back I sit on my chair again and wait for someone to come by, and while I'm getting sleepy each time cause of boredom, the door open and a man walks in. Checking him out seems like he's not a hunter or maybe he's just a beginner. He's not like the two hunters earlier. 

"Welcome, how can I help you?" I said to him, he looks at me and looks away immediately. 

"I need a healing potion, do you have some?" I quickly get up to my sit and get some potion and give it to him, but the more I observe him the more I know he's in pain. 

"Do you need some help?" I asked while giving him the potion he needs. He shook his head as a no, and immediately drink the potion. But he's still in pain even when he drank it all, so I grab his wrist and let him sit on a chair. 

"Wha-" I cut him off and said,

"If you wanna act tough do it after I heal you," I said, well my instinct said to help him but I really do not know how to use her healing powers. I explore his body and see a huge wound in her back, like a big claw that scratches him. Now, how do I do this? Is it just the same as the Tangled Princess Movie? Well here goes nothing. 

"Let my power shine, save what has been hurt bring back what once was mine." I sing the song, and wow it works. The wound is totally gone now like it's not even there. 

"The pain is gone, even though your chant is weird, it works well and effectively. Thank you so much, I'm Blake Smith, first son of Elizabeth." He said while he reached his hands for a shaking hand I think. So I grab his hand and shake it but he laughs at me. 

"What's wrong?" I asked

"Well, most girls will just put their hands on mine and they let them kiss their hand. But surely, you are a strange one." He chuckles while saying that, so I rolled my eyes at him and chuckles too. 

"Why don't we do it right then?" I said and place my hand in the air and look at his smirk. He reaches for my hands and places a kiss gently. What a gentleman he is. We look into each other's eyes, and amazingly I get captivated by his blue eyes. 

"Eh-em, excuse me Jane?" a man said in the doorway. Our eyes look away and our hands parted and we turn away and look at who just speak. He's looking at us, scratch that he's glaring at Blake. 

"What can I do for you?" I said, breaking his glare to him. He looks at me with his eyebrows met and with a weird smile. "Uhm? What is it?" 

"You're being weird like you don't know me at all." He said, oh my gosh is he her boyfriend? She doesn't tell me that she has one. "I'm Renz Clifford, the last son of Jeremy. You're best friend, are you okay?" 

Oh, is that who he is. "I'm just playing tricks at you, don't take it to heart Renz." 

"Well, I'm getting out of here. Thank you for healing me." Blake said while walking towards out.

"Hey, Blake! Wait a minute!" I shouted before he can make it out. He looks at me, and smile 

"What is it?" He said with a sly smile. I smile back at him and hand my palm.

"Your payment, please." He laughs and shook his head, he gets some coins into his pocket and gives me a gold coin. 

"Keep the change." Then walks out. I smile while watching his back disappear into my sight.

"You should always have your guard up when it comes to hunters like that, they're the most dangerous one," Renz said while looking seriously to the door, then when he looks at me his glance is way softer than a while ago. Okay, he's the one being weird. But I guess, he's okay since he's her best friend. 

"Are you done for today? Can I walk you home?" He asked.
