Chapter 7: The Body Guard

Jane's POV

I panic and just stare at her. How the hell could she have known that I am not the real Selene. 

"Why are you being so active? This is so not you." She said, I finally breathe after hearing what she said. So I guess Selene is the quiet, serious type of person. This will be hard since that's the opposite of what I am. I smile at her and just said, 

"I decided to be happy all the time, isn't that allowed?" I said to her, and after hearing what I said she starts to laugh and stands up. 

"That's good to hear, you look more wonderful when you smile all the times." Then she hugs me and pats my back. I smile and did the same to her, 

"Let's get the shoot started!" A man shouted from far away. She's going to tell me something but it's been cut off by that shout. I look at the man who shouted, he's wearing a hat and something in his eyes. Is that a glass in his eyes and a colored one? 

"Let's go, he's in the bad mood today so let's wrap it up quickly," Maggie whispers to me and head towards the shoot, I follow her but someone pulls me to the side.

"A minute with Selene, Yu." The lady said and start to do my make-up and then someone tried to remove my clothes

"Ahhh, what are you doing?" I shouted to two girls who undress me. They look at me like I did and said something weird, I look at Maggie and she mouthed 'faster' then look at the man who shouted earlier. The two girls and the lady who pulls me start doing their work again and this time much faster. I couldn't believe how fast they did this but when I see Selene's reflection in the mirror, it's like she's a fairy in a fairytale book. 

"Is she done? Let's start!" The man shouted again so I run towards where Maggie is. 

"How do we do this?" After I whisper that she looks at me confused but when she sees me I'm serious, she sighs and said, 

"Seeing your face is I believe that was a serious question but if not I will take this as an insult. Anyway, we just need to be happy like we already have a happy ending like in fairy tale stories." She said or rather whisper to me while we look at the man fixing something on his hand. I nodded at her, think of happy thoughts and I'll bet all of this will turn out okay and great.

"Okay ready, and go!" After the man said that, Maggie's aura shift to 180 degrees,s and just like that she's a completely new person. Is this Selene's job, is this what she's doing almost every day? I don't think I can do this. 

"Selene! Hunny, I know they said you're one of the best. But what the heck are you doing right now?!" The man shouted again, and that wakes me up to my self-pity hole. I can feel all their stares at me, I hate this. I can't do this to Selene, I need to do this for her. 

"I'm sorry, let's do this again. I'm just not feeling well." I said and did a deep breath. He nodded at me and start to do again what he's doing a while ago. I copied what Maggie's doing but, 

"Are you really trying cause you are just getting to my nerve and ruining this photoshoot!" He shouted again to me. I closed my eyes and take a deep breath. 

"Just be natural, like what you did earlier when you greeted me," Maggie said to me. I nodded and look around where we are. I see a lake and something pops into my mind. I look at the man, who I think his name is Yu. 

"If this is a fairy tale shoot, can I do what I am thinking that will be good and will look me better?" I said hesitantly, I see his face get serious. "Can I run around with Maggie then maybe shoot us in that lake?" 

His face brightens and I see a smirk. "Just make it more magical than this." 

I nodded and looked at maggie, she smiles at me and nodded. We run slowly while laughing and just enjoying the view. We make our way to the lake and I start to run towards it that I even wet the lower part of my dress. 

"Hey, what are you doing?" Maggie said

"Oh, I thought it would be cool if we splash to water and maybe lie down. Can't we do that?" I said while looking back and forth to Yu and Maggie. He smiles is so big that it almost hit his ears

"I like it, Maggie please follow what she's been doing. Make it magical, Selene!" He shouted, but this time I made a smile to his shouts. Maggie quickly run towards me and did what I am doing. 

"This is so fun!" She said and smile genuinely at me. I smile back and start to be so natural at doing this, then again, why don't I lie down so he can picture us while in the water. I look at Maggie and she understood what I am thinking so I smile at her. We lie down in the water without hesitating while holding hands and being so close together. Then, Yu quickly react to us and start shouting praise words. 

"This is amazing!"

"Perfect!" 

"Yes, girl! I love it!" 

But then Maggie quickly stands up and seems out of breath. "I'm sorry, I can't do any longer than that. How can you do that, Selene?" She said. I stand up too thinking it's done already.

"I guess I'm just good in the water," I said to her, but I think it's because I have powers that can control water to my original body that's why I can breathe underwater in Selene's body.

"If you can keep going, I would love to take more." Said Yu, so I smile at him and did what I'm doing a while ago. And while at it, he keeps shouting that made me more inspired to do good. 

"And that's a wrap, people!" He said, put the camera down and help me get out of the water. "Now I know why everybody wants to work with you, it's not your family name but your own talent. Even if there's a hiccup in the beginning, you outdid yourself at the end. Thank you for letting me shoot you. Til next time okay?" He said smilingly to me, I can't help but smile and feel proud of what I did today. This work, her job made my self-esteem boost to another level.  

"Thank you too, Yu." I said as I walk away from him, Maggie then walks beside me and make our walk towards the tent we're in before we start the shoot. 

"You're way more than I expected you will be, you are just too good at this." Maggie said smilingly, "I can see why he loves you so much." She teases me. Oh, right. Her brother is Selene's boyfriend. 

"Thank you. You are exceptional out there too." I said back to her. 

"So do you want to grab a drink after this?" She asks, but as much as I want to I already see that it's getting dark already and I need to switch back to my original body. 

"I would love to, but I have something I need to do after this. Maybe next time?" I apologetically said to her. She nods and said, 

"I understand, but next time you're going to pay for the drinks okay?" She said teasingly. I smirk at her and we made our way to the tent so we can change back into our original clothes. After I change, I get out of the tent and see that Clint is already waiting for me outside the tent. He walks towards me and puts a coat on my shoulder. 

"Great job as always." He said, so I smile at him and said, 

"Let's go home now," I said and he leads the way to the car. Open up where I seated a while ago and close when I'm all set. We drove back to the house quietly until something is making a sound again. I ignore it hoping that he will settle the sound, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. I see him looking at me in the mirror, so I turn my eyes to the side like I didn't see him. 

"Aren't you going to answer the call?" He said. A call? Call from what and where? He stops the car, turns around, and looks at me. I smile weirdly at him and he sighs. He comes near me slowly and stops an inch close to my face. Why is my heart racing fast? What he will do? I close my eyes afraid of what he will do. 

"You're mom is calling to your phone." He said, I open my eyes and see that he reaches for my phone and now handing it to me. I shook my head and pick up the phone where the sounds are coming from. 

"Oh," I said, as I am looking at the phone, there's a red and green button and Mom appear on it. I click the green button hoping it would be right and put it in my ear. 

"Selene, my baby, I am so sorry that I didn't answer your call yesterday. Mommy is very busy and I only touch my phone right now so I call right away once I saw your miss call." She said with a concerned voice, I smile at the thought that her mom loves her even if she's busy. 

"I just miss you that's all," I said with a gentle voice

"Aw baby, you are so sweet. Anyway, I need to go now. Your dad is calling to me, bye baby. Love you!" She said and then our talk cut off. I look at the phone and put it in my bag again. I look outside and notice that we're already where we need to be. I wait for him to open the door, but he's just looking at me in the mirror. 

"What's wrong?" I ask. But he didn't answer and continue to stare at me, and just like a while ago he comes near me again but this time I lean on where I am sitting so I can get away from him as much as possible. He stops and looks at me intently so I ask again

"Hey, what's wrong?" He sighs and said, 

"Who are you? And where's the real Selene?"
