Chapter 5Well, here it was, the absolute best birthday present I’d ever been given: in less than an hour, Theo would be making an honest man of me. I stood before the mirror in the bathroom of our hotel suite on the northern shore of Long Island and fastened my bowtie. Or tried to fasten it.
