Chapter 5An unexpected fog descended on the East Coast, resulting in a pile up on I-95 that shut down traffic in both directions for two hours. Road construction added to my drive time, as well as the rush hour. I’d pulled off at the last exit that promised a rest area with vending machines. The coffee tasted like crap and the package of cookies was stale, but the caffeine and the sugar boost helped.
