Outside on the school grounds, Adam gathered some of the team members. He had a message from their coach for them as the team's current captain. He informed them that their coach had requested a meeting with them. One of the boys wondered why the coach was so eager to see them. He was curious.
"Why?" He inquired.
"I'm not sure," Adam responded. "All he said was how important it was."
Jeremy smiled warmly. "Do you think it's related to Ian's return to the team? If that's the case, I think having him back would be fantastic. What do you think, guys?"
"Yeah!" The other boys all said the same thing at the same time.
"I'm not sure," Adam confessed.
Kelly and her friends arrived on the scene. She approached Adam with a flirtatious smile.
"May I inquire as to the team's status, captain?" she asked softly.
In hushed tones, he asked, "Girls, why don't you wait for me to fill you in later?"
"Hmm," Kelly said quietly. "When and where?"
"Dismiss," Adam said, and the boys, except for Victor, walked away. "Six o'clock at my house," he said.
"See you then," Kelly said as she walked away with the girls.
Adam beamed a smile. Unlike when Ian was captain, he has always been surrounded by girls and fans since assuming command. Ian was the one with all the fame and glory, which Adam had always envied. Ian's departure was a blessing in disguise. He now has what he always desired. For him, everything went swimmingly.
Victor moved closer to him. "Do you know Molly has returned?"
"What's the big deal?"
Victor kept his mouth shut.

Collins was in the living room playing a video game when his father walked in. He'd just emerged from the shower. He stroked the back of Collins' neck, causing him to flinch as his hand came wet.
"Enough with the video games; get out of my way; I want to use the DStv."
"Dad, couldn't you just tell me that without touching me?"
"I'm sorry. Go on, then move away," George said as he sat down.
Collins walked over to his PlayStation and turned it off. He then moved to a different couch. His mother entered with a glass of juice, which his father accepted.
He expressed his gratitude by saying, "Thank you, darling."
Margret sat down next to her husband. "How did it go with the bank?" she inquired.
"My request had been denied, and when I went to the bank, they said they had sent me a letter informing me that my request had been denied. On my way back to the office, I received an SMS alert saying my account had been credited with the same amount. I couldn't believe it and tried to withdraw it just to be sure. The money was given to me by the bank."
"Really?"
"I don't think that's from the bank," Margret said, surprised. They will never make such a mistake."
"I had the same thought. I'll go back to the bank tomorrow to double-check. "
"You haven't told anyone about your recent financial difficulties, did you?" Margret inquired, puzzled.
"I may have told Mr. David," her husband admitted after a brief pause. It was only a suggestion. I didn't actually say anything to him."
"You did What? How could you possibly do that? "
"I'm not sure, it just came out of my mouth."
"Came out of your mouth?" Are you paying attention to what you're saying?"
"Please accept my apologies. When it happened, I was not myself. I'm always nervous when he's around. I was afraid he would fire me."
"So you had to tell him your secrets?" because if you do, he will not fire you? I'm extremely disappointed, George. Why don’t you go and announce your problems to everyone?"
"I know, I'm sorry."
"I know. "It's evolution," Collins explained, "the stage where adults think like children and children think like adults." An example would be Angie. See how depressed she appears? "
Angie had just walked in, saying nothing to anyone as she walked straight to her room.
"Obviously, she's preoccupied with unrelated issues; in other words, she's..."
"Collins has a crush on Abigail, " Angie revealed. She wanted to embarrass Collins, to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Collins was completely taken aback. He couldn't believe Angie said such a thing. He was angry because he felt betrayed. He hadn't anticipated it from her. He quickly pretended to be unconcerned.
"That doesn't count," he declared. "You only proved my point because that was stupid. Not that you're yet an adult, though, " he mouthed to his sister. "You are unbelievable."
"Whatever," his sister said as she sat down.
Margret inquired, "Did your teacher tell you that?"
"No, but it's true, right? I just proved it."
"Shut up already."
"Where is Uncle Ian? I'm sure he'll agree with me. "
"Yes, Angie, but where is Ian?" George inquired. "You usually come home from school together; why isn't he home yet?"
Collins inquired, "That's right, Angie. Where's Uncle Ian?"
"Don't ask me about Ian, everyone; I have no idea where he is and I don't care," Angie said.
Ian entered the house after that. Everyone was greeted by him.
"Good evening, uncle and aunt, Collins, Angie."
Collins said, "You're welcome."
"We were just asking about you," George explained. "How did school go?" He inquired.
"He can't tell you because he vanished," Angie said.
George was taken aback by this. Ian was also taken aback. They exchanged glances.
"I had to take care of something important," Ian explained, giving Angie a puzzled expression that read, "Why did you do that? How could you? "
He said, "Excuse me," and walked away to his room.
"He changed his major as well," Angie added, but Ian dismissed the statement. What's the matter with her? He pondered.
The rest of the family was taken aback by Angie's demeanor.
"What!" She exclaimed, and shifted her gaze away.
