After another exhausting day, I finally made it back home, every muscle in my body aching from the ordeal with Damon. In an attempt to soothe my sore body and clear my mind, I took a long, hot bath.
The warmth of the water was comforting, but it didn't wash away the frustration gnawing at me.
I slumped onto the soft mattress afterward, the fatigue pulling me down, but my mind refused to quiet. My body was aching again and my fear of water had returned once more.
