I arrived home to the smell of Cajun spices filling the air. This was quickly becoming one of my favorite smells. I didn't see Mary in the kitchen and the apartment was pretty quiet. I looked at the large painting now hanging on the wall. It was the sun rising over the pack grounds. It covered most of the wall and was so detailed at times I just stood staring at it. There was a large beautifully quilted blanket in various forest colors that Mary had made now lying on the couch and several pots of herbs near the patio doors. It was starting to feel like a home I wanted to spend time in. Heading down the hall, I noticed light shining from Grace's art room.
