Adonis could read from the king's expression_He was startled by his suggestion which sounded insensible but made a whole lot of sense.

“Peridot is the vampire's late lover's name.She poisoned herself to death.So, the vampire declared that his lover's reincarnation will never be affected by poison ever again”Adonis explained.

“First, the vampire's Peridot is not my Gersemi.The poor girl is suffering from something she knows nothing about.Secondly,I'm not poisoning my daughter”

“Um...my king, to us,it's a poison, but to princess Gersemi's world, it is an antidote to whatsoever ache she's feeling in her body”Adonis clarified what he meant as he glanced at the king.The king's face seemed like he was convinced by Adonis' explanation.He twirled around to face Adonis and said...

“You can give her the poison.But just so you know, if anything bad happens to my child,I won't blink an eye before killing you with my bare hands.Now about the vampire's issue,how do we stop this?”

“well, according to my research so far,there's nothing we can do to make the vampire leave princess Gersemi alone.He'll come in human form probably as a vampire too but I don't know what else will happen afterwards.I'm still doing a thoroughh research on it”

“What if Gersemi gets married to another man, will the vampire stop coming after her?”

“I can't tell as well my king.But never allow her go close to the library”

“Most definitely!...I'll make sure none of my daughters goes to that library;I can't afford to see my child run mad or being chased by a spirit, talking of the spirit of the vampire, how do we chase away the spirit should Gersemi steathily visit the library?”The king asked again.

“Burning the book will keep the vampire's spirit apart.But that can't change the fact that he's now in form of another person,they'll definitely meet as they need each other to recover from their past life”Adonis explained.

The King respired severally again and turned back to Adonis.

“Go prepare the poisonous herbs...gosh! Why does it have to be poison?”the king cavilled and Adonis stifled a laugh.He wouldn't dare to make fun of the king .He stood up and bowed before exiting the study to make the poisonous herbs for princess Gersemi.

Surprisingly to the king, princess Gersemi's stomach ache vanished immediately she gulped down all the poisonous content in the cup given to her.He now got convinced that his daughter was peridot's reincarnation.

★Back to present★

The King switched his gaze back to princess Gersemi who was still looking at him fussily .

“We have to burn that book first thing tomorrow morning.That way, his spirit won't come after you”.

Princess Gersemi gave her father an incredulous look.He speaks like he knows a lot about the book and the people in it.

“Father, is there something you aren't telling me?”She asked peering into his face.

“I'm feeling sleepy princess, an old man like me ought to have enough rest and you know it”The king replied briskly and stood up abruptly before taking few strides to his, bed to sleep.His room seemed pretty calm.Princess Gersemi lumbered to the large couch opposite her father's dressing table.There she lay, awaiting that voice but nothing was heard and her heart felt at ease.She shut her eyes and drifted to sleep.

★The next day★

Princess Gersemi jerked up when she felt a light tap on her lower arm.She whined sleepily and turned around but that same tap lingered.She fluttered her eyes open angrily and found her father staring at her.

“Father”She said in a muffled voice and sat up as she began rubbing her sleepy eyes.

“Let's go burn that book”

“I'm sleepy father.You can go alone.I'm scared of the library now.I won't go there anymore”Princess Gersemi groused and laid back on the couch.

‘She's so like her mom’ The king said in his heart but another part of him reminded him of her being Peridot's reincarnation.arggh...he groaned and left the room.He stepped out of the room and sauntered towards the hallway, there he met Queen Irina.

“Greetings my King”

“Greetings to you too my Queen”

“Uh...Pearlene told that princess Gersemi wasn't in her room early this morning, and that got me worried”The Queen stated and the king nodded lightly.

“She slept in my room”

“What?!”The Queen gasped in shock.

“Why the outburst?”The king asked peering at her face in confusion.

“It isn't appropriate to let a princess sleep in your room my king”Queen Irina recalled .Well, she was right. According to one of the eight laws of Castle Coral, it was verboten to have a Princess sleep in the king's room.Only the Queen had the right to.

“Rules are bound to be broken Irina”

“What the heck are you saying Antonio? If the people hear of this,there'll be pandemonium in Castle Coral.”Queen Irina brought to the king's notice.

“Then, they should be ready to die.Princess Gersemi is my daughter, she needed me like a daughter who needs her father by her side.I couldn't chase her away for the fulfilment of some stupid laws .My family is my first priority”King Antonio yelled and stalked off.

Queen Irina looked at him in bewilderment.She couldn't believe her ears.

“Did he just choose Gersemi over the laws?”Queen Irina asked herself as she paced around in anger.She clenched her fists and stormed out of the hallway as well.

Logan winced when a firm hand tweaked his ear lobe aggressively.Who else could it be if not Nettal_his woman.She took him to the underground cellar.

“Tell me Logan, is it true?”

Logan was thrown into utter confusion as he had no inkling of what she was talking about.

“I don't understand what you mean Nettal.”Logan said innocently.Nettal could see the ignorance in his eyes so she spoke up.

“Marie and Agueda told me that you were in princess Jennell's room all through the night”

Logan gulped hard on hearing her say that.Who the hell told Marie and Agueda all this? Oh no...this was bad.If the king gets to find out about it then he'll be dead, worse, princess Jennell could kill him before the king does.

“Logan, say something ”Nettal's voice jolted him off his thoughts and he bowed his head in guilt.There was no courage left in him to talk with her with his gaze on her face.He had lost all the courage and self respect he had for himself,he's betrayed his one and only.

All the maids were crushing on him because he was the cutest guard in the castle but the only lady he loves is Nettal, they were betrothed to each other by their late parents, and they have always loved each other, now the princess is in their way, trying to create a rift between them.

“Princess Jennell forced me to lie with her Nettal.I swear to you Nettal,I regret it all, but my life was at stake.Please promise this news is only going to between us two?”Logan implored but heard nothing from Nettal.He raised his head to look at her but found her in tears.

“I'm sorry”He said sincerely but she ignored him and ran away.Logan suspired severally in frustration.He was expecting this.He'll just let her be for now,before going back to beseech her the more.

Nettal stepped into the large kitchen panting heavily, she couldn't believe her ears.Princess Jennell got laid with her man?how dare she?

‘I'll deal with you , princess’ Nettal swore in her heart and got set to work.She and the kitchen assistants began their work for the day.

★CASTLE ZIRCON★

Easton is seen trailing behind queen Dominika as she strutted towards her chamber with her lengthy gown swaying and sweeping the floor.Her hair was styled into a neat bun and her neck was adorned with gold necklaces and her wrist as well shone with gold bangles.Wealth meant nothing to her as all she wanted was her son to be back to normal.All the residents of Castle Zircon knew she had a son, but no one dared asking after the crown prince since he's been confined in that forbidden room.

Queen Dominika sat on her favourite wing chair and gestured at Easton to have a seat as well which Easton did immediately.He has come on his own which only meant he'd found another solution to the crown Prince's problem.

“Speak”Queen Dominika ordered and crossed her legs with her hands resting on her thighs which were concealed under her lengthy gown.

“I couldn't stop thinking last night my Queen and I believe it was worth it.”

Queen Dominika was impressed but she didn't give an impression about it.

“Go on”She ordered as she blinked her eyes.

“We should organise a regale for the seven nearest dorps and everyone should be invited...”

“You said that yesterday”Queen Dominika cut in.

“Yes my Queen.In order to know which of the females have a claw-like mark on her left lower abdomen,we'll have to announce via a fake sorcerer that a girl who has a claw-like mark on her left lower abdomen should indicate herself and would be rewarded by the king.Of course, the sorcerer will make it known that the girl will be inspected to know if she really has the mark,so,no girl would dare lie about it as there is going to be an inspection”Easton demystified the reason for his suggestion,awaiting the Queen's affirmation.

Queen Dominika nodded her head lightly and finally switched her gaze to him.

“We should begin with the Regale tomorrow then...”The Queen posited

“Uh...preparations has to be made.You know it is a regale , so there has to be preparations for the food and drinks they all will be eating and drinking, again, the store house has to be stocked”Easton explicated and Queen Dominika rolled her eyes playfully.

“You shall play as the sorcerer and as for the Regale, it will happen in three days.So go tell the postman to deliver the message to the seven dorps nearest to us, and letters should also be dispersed to our residents outside the Castle.Make it all, possible.”

“Yes my queen”Easton nodded with a bow.Queen nodded her head lightly,stood up and left the chamber.
