"NEVER ALLOW HER GO CLOSE TO THE LIBRARY" The instruction from Adonis resounded in the King's head.He stared at his daughter disappointedly. She has disobeyed him and not only him,she's made him disobey Adonis.King Antonio felt like whipping her right now but he couldn't do that.She's his favorite daughter which only he knew,else,Queen Irina would be mad at him.

“Father,you're saying nothing.Please say something,i'm scared”Princess Gersemi trembled as she studied the king's blank face.

“What book did you read?”The king asked as he peered into her face.

“A CALL TO ANSWER ”

Damnit!! The same book Adonis had warned him to never allow the princess read.

Princess Gersemi was just five years old and princess Jennell was only three years old.The two princesses were running about in the hallway in delight when Queen Irina bumped into them as she was also walking hastily to go meet with the king in his study.Princess Gersemi fell down on her stomach and princess Jennell burst out laughing.

Princess Gersemi stood up with difficulty,placing her hand on her left lower abdomen wincing in pain.

“Next time,be more careful. Naughty girl”Queen Irina said tersely and she left with Princess Jennell who wouldn't stop snorting with laughter.

Princess Gersemi trudged to her playroom where her royal nanny was.

“Little princess,what's the problem?”Leonie,the then royal nanny and Pearlene's mother asked when she noticed the uneasy look on princess Gersemi's face.

“My tummy hurts”Princess Gersemi quavered and she bursts into tears.

Leonie was taken aback by the little princess' tears.She crounched to the princess' height level and raised the princess' ultra bouffant gown up,her eyes lit up when they caught sight of the claw-like mark on the left lower abdomen of the princess.Leonie peered closely at the strange birthmark and shook her head in confusion.

“Is that what you do with my daughter?inspect her body for no reason?!”The king barked from the doorstep and Leonie's hands retracted immediately from the princess' dress and she stood up immediately with a bow.

Princess Gersemi scurried to her father in tears.

“What did you do to her?!”The king yelled at Leonie as he stared at his crying daughter.

“I was in here when she came in, in tears.She pointed to her stomach,reporting she felt pains there.so I lifted up her dress to know if she was physically injured on her stomach”Leonie justified.

“Why did your stomach start aching you,princess?”The king turned to his little princess who was sobbing already as she was tired of crying,though, her left lower abdomen still hurts.

“I fell down at the hallway.Then I started feeling pains here.”Princess Gersemi explained as she points to her left lower abdomen.

“Haven't I warned you to stop running about?You need to act like the princess you are.Come with me”The King ordered as he walked out of the playroom with princess Gersemi trailing behind him.He got to his study and made her sit on the chair in front of his desk,then he asked one of his guards to send for the royal physician.

“Do you need some water?”The king asked the princess but she shook her head negatively.

“Then you have to wait until the royal physician comes”

Few minutes later, a grey-haired man garbed in a red linen tied around his waist and a gold linen tied around his chest came hobbling into the king's study.

He bowed immediately the king set his eyes on him and he greeted the king in obeisance.

“My daughter complains of her left abdomen aching her.Can you recommend some herbs for her?”The king asked without wasting time.The royal physician got himself seated beside the princess and he stared at the princess for a while,then he nodded his head.

“Yes my king.But I need the princess out of the study now”

“Why?”

“She can't be in here to hear what I have to say to you”The physician said and the king sighed then he called on one of his guards who was standing outside the door of his study and the guard rushed in immediately.

“Take the princess to her room and ask Leonie to keep the princess company until the princess is sent for”The king instructed and the guard nodded his head and took the princess away.

The king switched his gaze to the physician worriedly.There was a question he needed to ask the physician, and has decided to ask him now.

“Adonis,I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now”The king began adjusting his seat closer to the desk and leaning his head closer to Adonis who was seated in front of the desk.Adonis,the royal physician, nodded his head as he listened with rapt attention to what the king wanted to say.

“I'm all ears his majesty”Adonis said with a nod and the king leaned closer so no one aside them would hear what he had to say.

“I've come to notice this two claw-like marks on Princess Gersemi's left lower abdomen.Initially, I had thought it was just a birthmark but I keep getting this creepy feeling now that she's growing up_I feel as though there is more to that mark than it seems in the eye”The king expounded and Adonis smiled knowingly like he'd been expecting this observation from the king for a long time.

“I'm not surprised that you find the mark creepy my king.In fact,the mark has a creepy history behind it”Adonis spelt out and the king gasped in shock.Was his daughter possessed by some evil spirit?

“Do you have a library in this Castle?”Adonis asked with his head bowed and he could feel the king nod his head at his question.

“There is a particular book which the people from the royal kingdom have in their library. But only few royals can see it in their library. It is not easily accessible... ”

“Why is that so?”The king cut in sharply as he wondered why only few royals can access a book which they all have in their library.

“That is because it is a spiritual book,meant only for whom it is connected to”

“I'm confused”The king confessed as he wipes the tiny sweat on his forehead with his handkerchief,hell,he was tensed.

“In that book,a certain man was turned into a vampire after being transmuted by the evil spirits in the forest.His lover killed herself when he couldn't be found but had no idea he was still alive and had only been turned into a vampire.

The man now a vampire, went to her grave and he summoned her spirit which did appear.He struck two of his claws on her left lower abdomen,indicating she was his own and would be his own in their next life. So whosoever his late lover reincarnated into,would come with that mark ”

The king stood up on his feet after Adonis had annotated the history behind the claw-like mark on the princess' left lower abdomen.

“No...No.This can't be possible.My daughter is the reincarnation of a vampire's lover?”

“I'm afraid ,she is, my king and shouldn't be anywhere close to the library because she will get an easy access to that particular book.If she reads the book completely, she'll be aware of her being the reincarnation of the vampire's lover and might run mad because of it.But, if she reads it partly,then,the vampire's ghost would come looking for her,not to kill or hurt her,but to dwell with her until she finds his reincarnation as well.But it can only scare her away”Adonis explained.

King Antonio scratched his head in confusion. Why did the so-called Vampire's lover choose to come in form of his daughter? Why her?

“So what do we do about the pains Princess Gersemi is feeling in her stomach?what do we do to prevent all this?how do we erase this whole prophecies and all...”The king asked frustratedly.He began pacing back and forth in frustration.

“I'm afraid we'll have to give the princess some poisonous herbs”

The king halted in his tracks when he heard the word, 'poisonous'.He gaped at Adonis in bewilderment. Was he crazy or something?
