Both my lips and stomach had been craving them even before he arrived, but I was more eager to hear why he had left, which was why I didn't say anything at first.
I was almost falling asleep seeing that Khai was taking so much time to return. For a moment I was even scared that my request might have scared him to run away, but soon my thoughts were interrupted by a text from my phone.
I picked it up and realized the text was from an unknown number.
I almost ignored it, but something made me open the message anyway.
