"I'm so disappointed in you," Mrs Thompson said as Andrew walked into her room.
"I know, I'm sorry," Andrew apologized, intending to make peace and end all quarrels. "It just happened. No one was expecting it, you know?" Andrew said.
"You know Mira has been a really good girl; she stayed by my side throughout the night, even when you left. You abandoned me here. I need someone like her who can take care of me without complaining," she indirectly said, praising Mira, hoping to start a topic regarding his thoughts on Mira. She wanted to know what exactly happened between them—if there was a quarrel among them when they were little. But Andrew shut down the topic.
"That's not why I'm here," Andrew replied. "Why are you here, then?"
"What are you doing about the wedding?" Andrew asked.
