Chapter 67

1490 Words

Tristan’s POV It’s been over a month since Evelyn left me. I still don’t know how to process this. Now that I look back to it, the first year of our marriage was insanely happy. I was overjoyed to have found my mate. Even when everyone around me insisted she wasn’t good enough for me, I believed we’d be happy forever. That year, I went all out to show her my love. I’d fill our bedroom with roses, have picnics under the stars, make love by the fireplace, and even talk about names for our future children. Those were our best days. But then she changed. She stopped being happy, always buried under endless works, and her exhaustion made her irritable. I couldn’t understand it. Was being my Luna really that hard? I’d seen Lunas from other packs—they didn’t seem to have so many problems.
