Helena visibly tensed up.
“I-I heard you were going to be on the battlefield longer than expected. So I came here early to make sure nothing went wrong with the project. Yes, I went against your order, but I only did it what’s good for us and the project…”
“Lies!” I cut her off without hesitation. “You didn’t come here for the good of the project. You are here to jeopardize it! The first thing you did when you got here was team up with Claude to steal my shares!”
Helena snapped her head toward me, her glare icy and menacing. “I’m talking to my Alpha about company matters. Who gave you the right to blabber your way in?”
“I gave her the right.” Asher said coldly, “You knew about the marriage contract. I want Evelyn as my Luna one day. So show her some respect.”
