“Sending Evelyn out won’t change a damn thing.” My voice was cold, with a sharp edge of anger.
Honestly, Helena insisting that Evelyn leave pissed me off. I knew Evelyn had trust issues. And it’s understandable after what her cheating ex-husband put her through. I’d been working hard to earn her trust, and what Helena just did could wreck it all.
