I was speechless.
“Are you always this pushy, Alpha Asher?” I asked.
“When it comes to something I want, I’m very persistent—especially this time.”
I knew he was a tough businessman, always relentless, like a conqueror taking over everything in his path.
I knew he wouldn’t take no for an answer. But I couldn’t help thinking about my concerns—all his girlfriends, Helena.
God, just thinking about his expression if I refused to sign the contract gave me chills.
How would he react?
Would he get so angry that he’d break everything in the room? Accuse me of using him? Demand I pay him back for all his help?
I couldn’t imagine it at all.
“I still have a few more hours. I’ll give you my answer when it’s time,” I mumbled, trying to put it off until the very last minute.
