THIS WAS Catherine’s first time attending a tea party. It was my first time, too. I have attended plenty of parties when I was younger but never a tea party. I heard that usually, the host of every tea party would send invitations two to four weeks in advance. Yet, the Castle had only been notified about it two days ago and the party was this afternoon already. In short, I only had two days to prepare. We knew in an instant that this was a test by the elites, a test that I had to pass no matter what. “They clearly wanted to shake you, My Lady, especially now that you are starting to attract the attention of the people from high society.” I remember Matthew telling me those things upon handing me the invitation while I was answering the test sheet which came from my etiquette instructor.
