CLARISSA FELT as if her heart was going to burst out as she stood at the entrance of the Skyline Building with Nicholas beside her. She was shivering even though the weather was exceptionally good that morning. She felt a light squeeze where her fingers were intertwined with Nicholas' and when she looked up at him, he smiled warmly at her.
"Don't be afraid. It's not like it's the first time you are going to meet my family."
"The last time you introduced me to your mom, you had just signed off two hundred thousand on a check!" Clarissa mattered. "Now, you are taking me to the car showcase as your fiancée. God, she's going to think I'm the worst gold-digger in history."
