Topher felt like a man renewed the next day. He woke up with a smile and a light, trouble-free chest, next to the man he loved—yet he basically unapologetically destroyed last night—and he couldn’t be happier. That is, of course, unless James suddenly got up and proclaimed his undying love for him, but that was a work-in-progress that was still to happen. He watched as James slowly began to regain consciousness in the blanket cocoon he had made for himself, and he wondered what James thought of him. He knew one thing for sure, and that was that James at least found him attractive—if last night was any indication. He was also quite certain that James found his company at least tolerable, and at most desirable—judging by the way the man decided to willingly spend hours with him at the beach
