Martin's POV I sat at the small dining table in the kitchen, my eyes glued to Sarah as she moved about. I couldn’t relax, not with Mirabella’s voice still echoing in my head, begging to be let out. If I hadn’t been sitting there, watching, I knew Sarah might’ve caved and opened the door. My breakfast sat untouched in front of me. I just couldn’t bring myself to eat. My thoughts were spiraling, tangled in too many things at once. This morning, I woke up to another message from my sister, another complaint about her husband. The same man I warned her about. The one I warned her not to marry. I know Nick was a very useless man, but my sister didn't see what I saw.
